    NEXT SIM: Wednesday @ Noon

    ***

Season is wrapping up (see thread for specifics - http://www.simgamingnetwork.com/foru...ead.php?t=9498)

It looks like we MAY have a new Maine Owner by the end of the week. Trying to work through some technical questions, but we're close.

Shit. 2-5. Dropped both to Pawtucket, and somehow lost 2 of 3 at home to Hyundai.

Carbajal got hurt, again. He's out for two weeks.

Lost Enriquez for a year with an elbow injury.

Against all odds, the game we won was Corrigan's. He gave up just one run in five and two-thirds, and picked up the 231st win of his career. I might write a follow-up article.

The Wednesday night game was a crazy one. We trailed Maine 12-4 going into the ninth inning. We then rallied to score seven runs, but a Rex Morgan line drive was run down in the gap to end the game with the tying run on second.

Yep, Pawtucket on the road again! Completely opposite as last year. I just don't get it sometimes.

            5-2 (81-62)

We haven't said a whole late lately because we didn't want to jinx the biggest season in Batavia's history. We'll keep this one short too but at 81 wins we finally passed our old record of 80 wins set back in '85.

We just can't shake Washington but hopefully we can keep up the magic ride.

On the bright side, VIR had two pitchers K at least 11 batters in a game this week . . . and neither was Pancho Hererra.

                Pawtucket 5-2, back on track.

Opio back from injury next sim. Also, P Tommy Lang making a very strong push for the 4th spot in the rotation come playoff time(also a contract extension).

100 wins could be in reach. Have to say at the start of the year I didn't see that coming.

Best case scenerio (long series) and he's back for the Brewmaster's.... big loss though. Bigger scare for me is that it's the second injury of the season and I recently locked him up 3 years for "not cheap". Chavez is transitioning to SS anyway... but it's a big loss at the top of the lineup.

Don Castor now 8 back of the all time single season RBI record. I don't have a vested interest in this either way, but the world just makes more sense to me whenever I see the name Keppel at the top of any offensive list.

He's had a standing offer all season to rejoin Pittsburgh for an undisclosed seven figure amount, but he declined to take us up on it. Best of luck to him.

He's still got some skills that should play, but catching not's one of them anymore so we'll have to see how much time he gets in the IL.

I don't understand the Harry Elliot move at this point in the season unless it's simply a hope that he'll get a Sandwich Pick out of the deal... in which case... it will be the first salvo towards ending Sandwich Picks before they start.

The game says "No compensation" for Elliot. It doesn't appear that would be a consideration.
