    Thanks Brad,

Under the radar move signing SP Brendan Watts. Last time we had Watts he was actually our Ace followed by a nice season as a closer. This time he comes back to compete for the #4, #5 spot. We have a good young starting pitcher coming up, but his stuff needs to round up a bit. Best to not rush the kid.

Miller will be missed, but not his defense. Were going with homegrown prospects SS Finlay & 3B J.R. Walling to fill in his offense and also to play a little left field. Will it work? Probably not, but our salary is getting to that point we need to be cost effective right now and only way to do that is using your farm system.

Overall we got 3 top players now. Gonna say we are ready.

      REMINDERS:

      1. This is the last sim to set your scouting and player development budgets.
      2. This is the last sim to do stadium modifications.
      3. There is a chance your owner not only adjusted the scouting and PD budgets, but there is also a chance he changed your budget for the year.

I believe it's just this sim. I think they automatically bump them up to half the "baseline" if you are over budget. You can move them lower if you like or you move them higher if you have available cash.

Oh okay, I knew that. Thought you were saying they randomly moved them around.

              Thanks Brad!

A bunch of under the radar signings (Becerra, Rhoads, LaFargue, and Griffith) to shore up our defence, R/L splits, our bullpen, and bridge the gap to our young kids that are likely a year, or two away.

We are not contenders, although Morla tries like hell to drag us there, all by himself.

A close to 0.500 season, with a ton of money coming off of the books next year, and a strong AA roster of quality prospects that hopefully finish the season at AAA would be a nice year in California!

Did Roger Villasenor cost himself $16M?

He had a team option for this year, which was getting declined had he not executed his opt-out. He quit before I could fire him.

Without even looking beyond Liquids top 5 prospects, NONE were drafting in the top 20 and only TWO were even drafted in the first round period.

For those who think the game engine hasn't changed dealing with draft pool please take a look at Washington's system.

                        Just wow.

Filled out a serviceable bullpen with a few additions this SIM. That was pretty much the last "must do" in FA. Pretty happy with the additions this offseason so far.

That's my favourite part about this version... There are stars littered throughout the draft!
