Very happy to get Omar Contreras for pretty cheap. Needed a lefty badly in the rotation. Still have some money to spend, will see what we do this sim.

That's a good signing. Was hoping he'd last another sim.

I took a run at him last season, before Brad, I think, stole him out from under me... Not sure why I didn't offer again this year?!

            No.

I signed him and he was AWFUL. I can't underscore enough how badly he pitched. He gave up 16 homers in only 62 innings. He couldn't strike anyone out. He surrendered walks at a career-worst rate. He was just dreadful.

After he went to Philly though, he went back to being good.

Because that's just how my season went.

His time in Maine kept me from signing him this off season. Thanks?

He's got some bad ratings splits versus righties. Its normal to have some tilt, but already Maine is geared more for righties. He really never had a chance. Seemed better at Philly though.

                  Not true at all.

First, he's REALLY good against righties for his career. It's why I signed him in the first place!

Second, I invite you to check his home/road splits from last year. He was TERRIBLE on the road for my club. He started eight road games and had a TOTAL of nine strikeouts. He was even worse on the road than at home.

Just checking out the ratings split my scout was showing. Didn't do a deep dive. Again just an opinion but looking at that felt he was going to fail there. Wasn't science.

Lol, I'm actually very simple with certain aspects of the game. After 2025 when my team went from 101 wins to 78 wins in 2026 then DL Champs in 2027 so who the heck knows? Get the feeling the game allows for alot more spread then previous versions. Look at the year SP Jon Jones at age 35? These middle road pitchers are all over the place now. #crapshoot

                        Just wow.
While I haven't had a pick higher than #16 (and that guy isn't on the top 100), I did have quite a few picks in the 2024 and 2025 drafts. In 2024, I had 2 firsts and 2 seconds, in 2025 I had 3 each in the 1st/2nd. It also helps to get really lucky with a guy like Theisen. But, as good as it looks now, those guys all have plenty of time for it go wrong before they make it the BLB.

I've also got 2 undrafted guys on the list, #44 JR Strom and #63 Josh Allen. I've got no clue what's going on with Strom. He's on his 4th team already and has barely played in the minors.

There's still a big difference between the html and in-game from what I see. We're certainly going to go down a bit.

As for current Bats, another minor signing in Alec Aymond. I like him, so hopefully he's got something left. It does leave my infield pretty crowded, so I'd really like to move Omar Baber (2B/3B) and Jimmy Harris (1B). Wouldn't be looking for a lot for either guy, since they really need to be moved, particularly Baber.

I offered him more money and years than you did but I guess there was something he liked better about the idea of playing for you.
