3-2 week and while we are already 5 games back of the 2021 DC Purple People Eaters, I'm not worried yet.

We are hitting pretty poorly as a team right now and with all of the major changes that I've made since last year, that has to be expected. However, our pitching looks pretty good in a world without Washington, allowing the 2nd fewest runs through two weeks and I fully expect our starting rotation to get better as the season goes on.

At the plate, the surprise player through two weeks has been former 6th round pick, OF Pat Krebs. Krebs has OPS'd 1.169 through the first two weeks, earning the starting right fielder position over veteran and 2-time All-Star OF Dusty Filar. We also picked up a few names to see what sticks including RH OF Ron Garrett off waivers from NY, RH OF Geoff "Rocket" Dicks and SH OF Tom Chapman both on minor league contracts.

We're going to make few more adjustments next week for our home series hosting Washington and Philly. This is probably the most optimistic I've ever been for a 4-7 squad.

So I realized that after my waiver claims that my roster would be a bit full. However I see absolutely zero reason to PROMOTE my second best pitching prospect Sean Barney from AA to MLB, THEN DFA HIM, so that he has to clear waivers. That's so far and above fucked up that I just won't stand for that. I would appreciate if we can fix this issue. Just fucking click DFA, he'll go on there and then I can make the proper adjustments. Going into my AA team and selecting the ace to move up to MLB and DFA? . Translation: I'm an asshole.

Yes. I am a REPEAT OFFENDER for DFA issues. I get that, and it was a lot worse before it is now. But come on. The whole promotion thing too so I can't take him off is what really pisses me off here. Not only is he eligible to be claimed (which I want addressed) he loses an option and I start paying him 280K now.
Translation: Get my shit together so it doesn't happen again because Matt isn't even a commish yet he still helps out because he goes above and beyond for this league

Bro I know you don't like me, and that's cool, I get it, I wouldn't like me either if I were you but don't fuck me like this so blatantly. I've been quiet as hell for like 3 seasons now. Let it go.
Translation: I'm growing up, but clearly I still have more growing up to do.

Edit: I'm sorry for spazzing. I just looked at it and flipped out bc I've babied that kid ever since I got him and he finally turned the corner. I'm not going to delete what I put because I deserve to be ripped for the way I handled this (incorrectly) but that just was the culmination of a bad day and then seeing this.

You had 26 in AA. I DFAd the first guy on the team, or a SP. I don't have access to scout ratings so I just pick the first person in every group. I also pick "pull back if claimed" if the option is available, which it was.

So take your temper tantrum elsewhere and learn how to operate the game. I already have a toddler in real life, I don't need another.

Morale in general makes no sense. Joey Maurer and Jimmy Cook are both very unhappy about their performances despite having sub-3 ERAs.

I'm almost afraid to get excited as I've never had a good team. Our pitching has been good enough to keep us in games. Our offence still hits into way too many double plays, and we we don't have much power, but man can they get on base. Five regulars hitting above 0.360. 10-2 and hoping the strong ride continues.

Secondly anyone I placed on Waivers had the option of "Pull back" if selected so you won't lose them. I start with the first SP, then MR, then C, then 1B, etc...
What is a pullback option and how do I use it?

Last I looked, I didn't see any problem with my rosters. I had an injured guy, but as far as I could tell I didn't have to update any rosters, so I left them alone and didn't need an upload.

I 100% don't want to lose the guys on waivers.

I don't think there's an option to pull them back or remove them from waivers on your end (if I'm wrong, someone please correct). However, if any team tries to claim them off waivers, they will automatically be pulled back - the waiver claim won't go through. I just tried to claim a couple of guys and all my claims were immediately rejected and the players no longer show up on waivers in my game.

On your team's Rosters and Transaction page in game, you should see "7 days left, pull back if claimed" for the players that were waived. They'll be pulled back if anyone puts in a claim.

I recently placed Josh Ward on waivers and I recall doing something with him where it asked me if I wanted to pull him off waivers. But for the life of me, I can't recall what screen or options I chose to see that message.
Also, if you go to the players profile and choose "Available Actions", there should be an option to "Remove Player from Waivers".

No. You did not select that option. Because if you had selected that option I would be able to pull him back - which I can not do. So by your theory, this sim one of you guys will put him back on my roster, and since he wasn't called up and THEN DFA, he won't be making 280K. Awesome, thanks for clearing this up for me and putting him back on my AA roster this sim. Thanks Matt!

Pull back if claimed means . . . pull back if claimed. It doesn't give you the ability to pull him back directly. The player has to be, like, claimed by another team first.

From now on if you prefer, we'll postpone every SIM a day when there's a roster issue so you, or I (because I'm just as prone to making roster mistakes as anyone), or one of our fellow offending owners can correct the issue and re-export. When a commissioner makes a move it's literally because the game won't progress until the situation is handled.

When waiving a player with options the game will prompt you with a follow up option for pulling back the player should he be claimed by another team; basically revocable waivers.

On second thought I'm taking the postpone option back off the table.

I am however researching adding a 'bag of dicks' emoji to the forum. Seems like it would be useful.
