  • I was trying to get Swilley.

First pitcher in our universe to win MVP and Outstanding Pitcher in the same year.

Granted, I think it's only been possible since OOTP 16.

    • Nice pick by Pitt.

I can't understand why he hit so poorly but my scout likes Simmons, OSA likes him, he's high on the top prospect list, has good intangibles, and might end up a 7 or better at CF and 2B/SS. It's a gamble as he OPS'd .646 in his college career but I like the pick.

      • Our first pick in this Draft is a young reliever. Zack Crowder, GB pitcher who almost tops the 90 mph mark with just 17 Years... I always like to Draft young players and look after them during their formation. I am looking forward for the challenge to make him an important part of our bullpen in the next 5 to 7 years.

Scout says he looks like a future star, numbers say he's out of baseball in a year. Added a SS and CF I liked in this draft, I'll take it

            • With my third round pick, I tok Robby Mohon from Arizona. My scout is pretty high on his potential at the plate, and he should do ok in a corner outfield spot. Unfortunately, intangibles aren't great and he wasn't as good this season as last.

Still, I'm happy to get him here.

              • Just a quick review of our 3rd round selections:

                3.5 SP Fred Wiegland (Stanford)
-Again following the recommendations of my scouting staff, we drafted the 20 year old, Michigan native. This will be one of those interesting cases to watch the difference in OSA vs. my scout as OSA has Wiegland rated 5-5-4 vs. 5-6-6 from my scout.

3.17 SP Kiyotake Inouye (Texas A&M)
-We traded veteran infielder, William Kroll (SS) for this pick which turned into Inouye. Inouye who was part of the 2016 HS Champion John Glenn Rockets before injuring his elbow in 2017. Recovering from injury in 2017, Inouye enrolled at Texas A&M winning the 2019 NCAA Championship with the Aggies. My scout thinks he's got the stuff to be a starter in the BLB and if his playoff performance in 2020 is any indication (3 starts, 3-0 with a 1.98 ERA), he may be right.

3.20 OF Ted Willis (Morton West HS)
-I found Ted a little late today, but my scout thinks he will be a star in the league. OSA and my scout believe in his defense in the corners, but more importantly they both believe he's got decent contact potential and the ability to avoid strike outs. Unlike OSA, my scout believes Ted has the power and ability to draw walks at the plate and looking at his stats during his sophomore and junior years, I think that my scout may have a point. Ted will be another guy to watch in the growing OSA vs. scout debate.

I basically flipped a coin between him and 3B Snyder. (Sorry Pat for taking so long) It was so close. Like this pick.

                      I was just kidding.

Excited to pick again or trade out if my prospect is gone.

                        I know.

The rest of Delandis picks sucked.

Exact same thoughts I had when I passed over him. My scout loved him, but the intangibles were hard to ignore.

                            • Passed up two good trade offers and a surprising amount of good pitching left to take Sean Gallion's back up TAMU, Ian Hanson. OSA has him 55666 and my scout has him 53576. Bit of a gamble but the Aggies were a power house.

                              • I was on a frantic chase to land a 4th round pick to draft 2B Dave Snow. Although he looks to be a capable batter, we are thinking of shifting him to SP as my scout just loves his stuff. He's an intriguing prospect that I couldn't pass up.
