Didn't "W" already ruin a baseball team in Texas?

        Do you have insider information?

I heard that Eddie Chiles is interested in selling the Rangers, but he wants George Bush to buy? How do you know this?!

Hard to ruin something that has never had any inkling of success or accomplishment. I should know, I'm a Ranger fan.

The new Commish is not going to be a vocal presence in the forums. That's kind of the Commish's role. He should be away from the all of the Owner bickering and whining. The great a powerful OZ as it were.

So, seriously. Andrew is no longer the commish?

Does this mean we can't really get on Andrew's shit about being corrupt? It just doesn't seem right.

I'm hearing Wessinmouse is actually the new commish. George W ???

                  Any truth to this rumor?

I'm still the commish and running the sims.

With my current team I've observed that I seem to have more booms and fewer busts than other teams. I have no evidence to prove this one way or another so it may be a faulty observation or it may just be that I've been unusually lucky. However, part of me started to wonder if OOTP is biased a little bit towards the user. Since I always ran the sims as my 'Andrew' user maybe OOTP was helping my team slightly?

Like I said, I have no idea if this is true but just to be safe I decided to create a separate user to run the sims as. My 'Andrew' account is no longer a commissioner in game so is setup identically to your accounts. I'll make all Guides changes under the Andrew account and run the sims and all commissioner duties under the new commish account.

Once we decided this was the setup we wanted to go with, we decided to have a little fun with it.

Eh, you should have run with the Wessinmouse rumor.

We had it narrowed down to George W. Bush and JJ Wessinmouse as the two IDs. In the end, we went with Bush because it set the groundwork for some changes that are coming and I wanted a character to be able to use in the articles.

Plus, it sets the groundwork for a new "commish" in '95 when he becomes GOV of Texas.

In a nutshell, it could have been a generic thing, but I wanted a character to play with.

I don't read a lot on the OOTP forums so I don't know if this is true for anyone else, but I have seen this being the case in single-player 100%. I'd start a game with MLB rosters, choose one of the worst teams in the league (Reds, Pirates, etc.), I wouldn't make any trades or signings, and I would improve the teams win total by about 20 wins in comparison to what the team normally does when the season is simulated.

I like the idea of "W" though. Gives Clay another creative outlet.

The only problem is you're not comparing APPLES to APPLES. In single player, the AI is tasked with controlling the other 29 teams so you have no idea if and what moves are being made.

In a multi-player league, you assume 100% of the teams are making moves and adjustments.

Like I told Andrew (and I belive it 100%)... his team's success can more likely be attributed to...well... his team's success. I think the successful organizations keep morale high and tend to be more successful in developing players. If you look at the Organizations in the BLB that have always been good... the orgnanizations that have always been bad... and the few that have been both... I think you see a pattern.

I like the idea of "W" though. Gives Clay another creative outlet.
Yeah... that was the goal once we knew we were going to change.

I think it's just better if we all assume that Andrew wasn't getting any added benefit from the previous situation.
