'Batavia is Back Baby' with a 6-1 week and the Red Jackets now hold a 3.5 lead in the Stout. We predicted this team would be dominant in 2050, not 2046. What a scary though for the rest of the league. Other good weeks were had by Pittsburgh, Phoenix, and Wilmington who went 5-2. On the other side of life Maine went 1-6 with a 6.41 ERA and fell to 31-41 on the year.

Performance of the Week
RF Robert 'Stretch' Jessee - On June 20th the old man...who's only 32...turned in the 4th best hitting performance of the season against Montreal. In four at bats he had four hits, two home runs, five RBI's and scored three times in a...loss? The Drillers scored 10 runs, but the Exports scored 16 after Nathan Thomson gave up eight runs in 1.2 innings pitched. On the season Jessee is hitting .313 with 17 HR's and 46 RBI's.
Prospect of the Week
P Cayden Wittmeyer - We had to double dip on Wittmeyer because he's already been promoted to A ball and started two games for our favorite team, the Barre Greys. In those two starts he pitched 12 innings, allowed two runs, walked two and struck out 20. Barre now leads the Capital division and should be playoff bound.

Five Things We Think We Think
1. It has been done. Richie 'Powder' van Luik is now the BLB's all-time career steals leader. On June 19th against California 'Powder' hit his third single of the game in the 5th inning off of Miles 'Rapid' McIntyre. Graham Hunter came in and van Luik took off on the first pitch to Melchior Galasso. He slid in safely under the tag and the record was his. The game was briefly stopped and the home crowd of the Kodiaks gave him a standing ovation. 'Powder' later stole another base after his fourth hit of the game, and then stole three more during the rest of the week. Now at 682 career steals he stands alone while only being 30 years old.
2. Aubrey 'Gypsy' Albano now has the longest hitting streak on the season at 25 games. During the streak he's seen his average rise from a pedestrian .374 to .406. We haven't had someone hitting over .400 this late in the season since 'Powder' did it back in 2039.
3. Part of "Batavia is Back Baby" is that the Red Jackets are 8-2 in extra inning games and 19-7 in 1-run games, and no one is better in either category. Their PYT of +5 is tops in the league. On the other side Dallas is sitting with a PYT of -6 while being 3-6 in extra inning games and 4-12 in 1-run games.
4. The Knights are 40-32 and dominating people with their hitting. They are first in home runs, first in slugging percentage, first in OBS, and first in runs scored. Sadly they are last in hits allowed, opponents average, and 11th in the Import in ERA and runs allowed. Don't just jump all over the pitchers though, take a look at some of those hitters trying to play in the field. The Knights team ZR of -37.9 is by far the worst in the league and their outfield of Melchior Werth, Jarred 'Shooter' Lathrop, and Jerry Osbourn have accounted for -18.0 of that. I guess if you can hit the ball out of the park the old adage of 'pitching and defense' just doesn't matter.
5. Who is putting those butts in the seats this season, so far it's the New Orleans Voodoo. They lead the league by drawing in 1,563,539 fans so far. Second place belongs to the Red Jackets at 1,555,593 while the Seattle Pilots come in third at 1,552,099.
