Good week. Finished taking two of three at Pawtucket, and the final three of a four game series against Hartford.

We lead the wild card race by seven games. As for the Ale, we trail Pawtucket by six games. We play them six more times during the regular season. All six games will be played at Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh.

Finished off the sweep of Wilmington...and then lost all four to Virginia.

D.C. falls another game back (six now) in the Wild Card race.

You're going to have to provide Arredondo with more run support. He's out there pitching his guts out with "Stuff" that wouldn't intimidate a little league squad and his teammates are just doing nothing for him. Granted he was matched up against Herrera this week, but he's going to need some help out there.

Oh, I need more run support? Well, lucky for me this sim brought four players ice cubes next to their names. Including Mike Murdock. Yay!

Guardamagni working his way back into form. Didn't pick up the win, or pitch that well... but he did get 2 K's... so now he's only 7 K's away from 3,000.

What's the playoff setup in the minors? I noticed my AAA team won their division, but was eliminated in a single game 8 team tournament? Is that right? Is that new?

Yay another player out for a year! Keep 'em coming!

I can't remember the last time Jared Williamson pitched a bad game. Dude would be close to a 20 game winner on any other team.

Our newbs played well. Hack Wells decided that he might wanna play to his ratings for one week so that's good.

Too many damn 12 month injuries though. And as usual lot's of 1 run losses although we had a few wins as well.

Each league has a different format:

The HORIZON LEAGUE will feature the same great AAA action that we’ve come to love from the BLB highest level prospects. It’s a brand of no-holds barred baseball as these players audition for their chance to hit the big stage.

In the new HORIZON LEAUGE, the 24 affiliated teams will be broken into two sub-leagues each containing two regional divisions of six teams. At the end of the season, the two best teams from each division will make the playoffs… and that’s where things get interesting!

Because the BLB roster expansion in September, we felt that we wanted to limit the HORIZON LEAUGE playoffs to the fastest format possible allowing teams to keep their playoff squads in tact for just one week and miss very little of that critical big league experience. That’s why these eight playoff teams will be seeded 1-8 by record and play a simple single elimination tournament for the HORIZON LEAGUE title. Critical playoff experience, without losing what could be important September time in ‘the show’.

                      I never knew...
Playoffs were the only reason I kept a few guys down. So, I'm glad they're done.

                        That was the goal.

Short playoffs in AAA.... more teams make it in AA...

Statistical Factoid: For the first time since 1979 - aka "The Running 70's" - a team now boasts two 50+ base stealers in the same season. Hector Chavez eclipsed the 50 mark this SIM, joining Jerry Daly.

In addition, Dale O'Hegarty (29) and Mel Woodbury (26) could push the Colonials to a super impressive 4 - 30+ bag swipers on the same team.

And THANK GOD cuz we really have been playing like gutless turds are home.

Pawtucket 2-4. Strange I had all these hot men, but have to hand it to Maine they took it to us.

Make some adjustments and get back on track perhaps when we go back on the road.

And there goes another Denver pitcher. Joy.

Funny thing is, Parangao probably doesn't even win #200 if Cook stayed in the game. Cook was dealing and then suffered a season ending injury. Luckily it's a short one so he'll be ready for next season without much affect.
