CHARLOTTE, NC -
Play Ball '82, an organization determined to bring a BLB franchise to Charlotte, today unveiled a video they had produced, designed to showcase the future of the Queen City.
"We're really excited about this video. We hope that when the BLB brass sees it, they'll want a BLB franchise to be a part of our growing metropolis," said Play Ball '82 chairman T.J. Cutini. "We want everyone to know we're a lot more than just a NASCAR town."
The concept video, produced by someone known only as "dmccoig" showcases what could eventually be several landmarks in and around Charlotte, including an NFL stadium, an NBA arena, and a very developed uptown area.
"All that's missing in this video is a nice baseball stadium uptown. We hope that BLB can make that become a reality," added Cutini. "It's a very forward thinking approach. But I think that a BLB franchise could really be the catalyst in all of this. Imagine a town with a BLB, an NFL, and an NBA team. We'd love for the BLB to be the start of all that."
