  • Conversion Plan?

    Is the plan:

    Final RS Sim (THUR)
    Playoff 1 (SUN)
    Playoff 2 (TUES)
    Playoff 3 (THURS)
    Off-Season 1 (SUN) -- CONVERT TO OOTP9

Are we moving like that or are we going to hit the Playoff Sim 3 and then HOLD?

    To many rings to count...

I'll be converting immediately after the last Brewmaster's Championship game, before clicking over to the offseason. Reason being is I want 1985 budgets calculated with OOTP 9 since that's what we'll be using to play the season. I'll then take the weekend to sort out any conversion issues and we'll resume with OOTP 9 on Tuesday Sept. 16th.

When is the draft going to be then? As I understand it (which may not be well) in OOTP 9 we determine our scouting budget and apportion our scouting resources between majors, minors and amatuers during the preseason, February I think. If we time the draft as we have been, we will not have had the opportunity to make this allocation.

I think we were debating moving the draft to the off-season anyways. If not, we might just have to push it back a sim or two. To be honest, I haven't really had time to properly think through the schedule.

The sooner the better! I've had an incredible streak of 4 or 5 straight sims with guys getting INCREASES in talent bumps... I'd love to be able to switch over to OOTP9 without having any more young stars get the dreaded DROP!

Oh how lovely it will be to do away with the INCREASE/DROP... easily the most maddening part of the OOTP experience.

More maddening than being a cellar dweller?

No longer am I the cellar dweller.

                  I have leaped into third.

Plus we just had our best season ever under my watch.

                  I'm a happy camper.
