Swept at home by lowly Pawtucket. Again, all close games. At least we took a home series from Cleveland.

This year is tough. 27-30 in mid-June. We should be good. Sigh. And now our second baseman is hurt. Again.

Tried to give Oto the first game of the week off to rest. What does the Player of the month do. Pinch hit Grand Slam

        Well that sucked.

I'm ready to concede the division to NY and offload some talent if anyone is interested.

Losing a series is bad enough to us. A sweep should result in an automatic team blow up.

Pawtucket 5-1. Some of my rookies think they are good. We need to make some more trades.

Voodoo Davila is taking over the catching job. Maybe he'll light a fire.

Another 3-3 week for the Brawlers. Freddy Rodriguez is back so hoping that lights a fire under the offense though he's liable to get a hangnail after a week and be on the DL again.

Not surprised. Another one of my new favorites.

In other news, minor league All Stars were selected last sim.

I think he is the real deal. I think with Rosales coming up late this year or next season we will finally have that 1-2 punch in the lineup.

5-1 Stout Week. Including a sweep of Death Valley, stretching the division lead to five games.

Leading the way are sluggers Pat Ladd (2nd in IL with .953 OPS) and Antonio Cardenas (1st in BLB with 54 RBI). They rotate at the #4 and #5 spots in the LH/RH lineups, probably one of the better combos at those spots I've had in franchise history. The other big story on offense is Tyler McLouth's breakout season. He's 29, playing for a new contract and is on pace for career numbers across the board. His recent move back to 3B should really help out the defense as well.

The rotation continues to dominate. 2nd in the IL in starters ERA and the Bats have been running the 6-man rotation the past few weeks. The bullpen is still a bit inconsistent, 4th in the BLB in bullpen ERA but I think it will iron itself out as the season goes on.

Did have an injury....2B/SS Cy Gray hits the DL for the next month+ with back issues. He had getting starts regularly in a platoon with Orlando Saucedo so it does hurt a bit. However, I had been carrying an extra infielder all year and now is the chance for backup Steven Bailey to step up. Originally acquired from Philly as a youngster, Bailey is 28 and this will be his best opportunity to get regular BLB at bats. A natural 2B with good gap power and speed. Now's the time to shine for the recently turned 28-year-old.

Can we trade players signed this year through FA after this upcoming sim?
