Our best interest is to make the playoffs on a win streak, win the Porter and let the chips fall where they may. We definitely aren't afraid of your current ghosts of champions. #rearviewisbroken
Whats worse.....you have Windy City right now propping up your records!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know if that really counts. WC is propping up everybody's record. And its not like you guys don't have your own Rocky Mountain version over there.

He's just bitter because he propped up my record.

Curt Wells is very clearly both our MVP and untouchable. He has been amazing for us, and thankfully he's hitting so well and so elated over his performance, he's not letting the team performance ruin his mood. So he's still Good in morale.
Wells has already hit a career high 28 home runs. Is slugging an super impressive .513, and has nearly identical home/road splits with a slugging bump at home because our park has wide gaps. He also had a 21 game hitting streak this year.
He won't win any awards for his performance, but I do think our DL managers that didn't participate in All Star voting should apologize to me for not being active and getting this guy in the game.
If we handed our Slugging Awards, he would win it in the DL. He leads all DL catchers in AVG, SLG, OPS, WAR, Hits, 2B, RBI, children fathered during the season, XBH, and TB.
And we won more games with him as our catcher. So there's something. Sorry that we suck, Hack.
Tommy Potter is a big boy now. I sent him back to AAA not because he wasn't performing but because I figured it would help. Before leading the Tucson Bulls to a semifinal loss, he had thrown two straight games surrendering just one run in the BLB. That was back in June.
He came back in September and has thrown three straight games of at least 8 innings without surrendering more than 3 runs in each start. And because our offense blows, he's 1-2 to show for it.
Meanwhile, Jonah Bankston spent nearly a decade in the minors and finally got his chance when we drafted him in the Rule 5 draft. He's gone 10-10, 4.31 ERA. Nothing super amazing, but for a bad team like the Bulls, that's damn good.
