        NOTE TO THE LEAGUE!
There is a ton of players on the waiver wire right now. This happens every season after SIM 1. All the players that are out of option years that teams are trying to get back into the minors are available for the taking. Be aware.
        Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
        Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041
        Washington Bats - 1979-2013

Most of the top draft talent seems to be international.

I'll be taking offers for 1.1!

Agreed, if you need some minor league fill in not to hijack 20 players in the DFA.

5-1 sim for the Dinos! We came up against and overcame some strong pitching from Indy and Syracuse. The pitchers.....awesome! The bats....horrid. I guess we wear blindfolds for night games? Not sure, but it looked like we did for game three against Indy. That Johnston kid is going to be a beast this year.

Doug Miles picks up career W number 150. Good opening week for the pitching staff, with the bullpen doing a really nice job in limited work. Last season we were derailed early on by terrible bullpen work, so any improvement in that unit's performance should hopefully be reflected in the standings.

Good first week for Dino imports Alvarez and Watts and the team overall, but we know it's a long, long grind.

                            Windy City Playboy Report

Opening Day provided some thrills for Playboy fans this week as top hurlers Jamie Herberholz and Erik Kiefer squared off. Kiefer out dueled Herberholz for seven innings. Too bad for him it wasn't nine as newly aquired free agent Joe Dominguez took a 1-0 fastball offereing from Sorin Pantilimon and deposited it into the bleachers for a three run HR in the 9th to give Windy City the 3-2 win. The team finished the week going 3-3 which in the Bock is of course good enough for first place.

                            News & Notes

                            The more things change...
We can't confirm reports coming out of DC that 26 yr old right hander Damien Williams has pitched a quality start and earned a victory over defending IL Champion Washington. Word is that he walked fewer people than innings pitched. After his robust whisker under 6 ERA last year Williams is sitting at a crisp 1.17 ERA right now. This most likely will be the crowning achievement of this former 29th ranked prospect's career so we sure hope he enjoys it.

The more they stay the same.
Poor Jamie Herberholz. Pitches two more solid games. ERA is at 2.13, but has no wins to show for it. The Playboy report is sticking with it's prediction of a 2-1 record for Herberholz this year.

There's a new (old) kid in town.
Ral Gonzlez confirmed Pawtukets mishandling of the veteran righty by pitching a seven inning GEM against Wilmington. Unlike Herberholz the PR is predicting a 27-2 season for him now that his talents are being better utilized.

                            They said it
SS Cy Gray was quoted before opening day as saying, "I haven't been on a roster this talented since I was in Denver." This of course initially caused reporters to move from disbelief to agreement in a matter of seconds. Gray backed up his bold words by punishing IL pitching to a tune of .091 this week. We can't wait to hear what else he has to say!

                            On the Farm
Opening day in AAA Des Plaines was a little more special this year as the Golden Heroes took on the Allentown Talons. In a battle featuring a multitude of top 100 talent the Heros were able to take the two game mini sweep sending an important message that will no doubt resonate through the BLB for the foreseeable future. Top hitter JJ Caplan hit .542 his first week. Coaches are convinced he's ready for the show now but rumors are about the bastard GM doesn't give a crap and will be keeping him down one more year. The rest of the farm was magnigicent this week. Even once clueless SS prospect Travis Krummen had the best week of his young professional life and was heard saying, "So THIS is what a real player developmental program is like?!".

                            What's next?

The Playboys look forward to their opening homestand....the only three home games all month against California. After that it's three in Philly whom has already been proclaimed Champions of the Universe by the 'Report. A 1-5 week is a reasonable expectation.
