So it looks like we have not one but two Lonnie Coleman games this year. BUT... here is the problem.... it also appears that the game won't declare the DL WC a tie until the Division titles are all final. SOOOOOO.... looks like we may have to do two unique extra SIMS to handle it.
So... Denver and Dallas are up first. Carlos... send me your particulars in PM. Jim.... please export or give us an All-Clear and I'll fire it off ASAP.
Once that happens... looks like we'll need FunClown and Pat Jr for a 2nd Lonnie Coleman game with the particulars TBD. I don't know how this gets handled, so I strongly suggest having your best lineup together when we SIM the Dallas/Denver game just in case it happens before I can stop it (though I don't think it will.)
Thanks to the IL for getting shit done in 162....or, in my case, about 130.
Disappointing. We took two of three from Pittsburgh, just as we needed to. Then we dropped all four at home to Hartford. Damnit. Had we even split at home with Hartford, we'd have tied for the wild card. Good race, Ale comrades.

Same to you Z. I never thought I'd be able to take 4 from you on the road to end the season. I've been staring at that 4-game road set and saying to myself it is bad news since end of August. Once Sau went down, I thought we were doomed. We're lucky to have picked up Valencia and Knight to fill in so admirably in the 4-5 spots and R-Go to get give us another arm for the stretch run. Luckily I was able to tinker with the rotation enough that he'll start Game 1.
We probably should have made the playoffs in '93, but we're certainly happy to deliver Hartford's first division title ever in a brutal Ale - has a division ever had that high a winning %? Finally, I don't feel awful about going for it, after dealing away a bunch of prospects for rentals in 89 to Dallas and falling just short.
To say we're just happy to be here is an understatement. It's all gravy from here.

Pretty happy with the way we finished up the season. We were a .500 team when we detonated The Bomb on our roster and we finished the year at exactly 81-81. Good effort out of our AAAA roster the rest of the way.
Damn, almost. 58-win Hyundai almost played spoiler in the final week, taking 2/3 from us and 3/4 from Los Lunas. In the end, 85 wins is nothing to be ashamed about and the pieces are there for us to be in contention again next season.
The Pilsner is an embarrassment to the DL.

You need to fire your team Dr. No team was hurt more by injuries this year than yours. A shit ton of bad breaks.

Yeah. Our two best offensive players played 116 and 114 games. We never really had a 5th starter. Our wins leader was a 22-year-old rookie who walked 100 batters. Maybe it would have been a different result if Fresi and Sumita were in the rotation all year, but given all the above, I think we did ok.
