Wow... I sure hope your team stays healthy and you win right away because that's a TON of picks to give up.
    The Great One!

Confirmed. We hate to give up a talent like Siegrist and a OL Mentor is James Grant, but we are building our team through the draft and couldn't pass up this package. Maurice Reader should be able to fill the gap and contribute for us this year and this will give our 2nd round bust LT Ross Holiday more of a window to prove the scouts wrong. Good luck prez.

On a side note, I'm not going to even bother submitting a stage file as it will get jacked up anyways, right?

Just deactivate the two players you are trading and only activate one more guy, and you should be fine. If you only have 45 active Reader will take the 46th slot and just play Special Teams, etc. But the rest of your depth charts/game plan should be fine.

The only time there are problems is when a newly acquired player takes you over 46 active players.

Thanks andrew, should have thought about that.

Yea, but its tough enough to get a marquee receiver in the draft and I really believe that's why Allen was having so many problems his first couple of years. That's why I nicknamed him Campbell Soup Kid because his skill set and the team I built, reminds me of the Eagles. Great QB, Great D, no receivers. The only difference now is not only do I have Allen, but now I've got Allen(3rd yr), Bronson(2nd yr), Siegrist(5th yr), May(R). If Siegrist is willing to renegotiate his contract when he gets here, I'll have all of them for at least the next 3 yrs and those picks are great to have but not necessary. Everyone on my offensive line is 4 years or younger, except my veteran 12 year guard. I've got a very young, high potential offense, I just need them to realize that potential and I'm good. I spent the last two years watching every GM double Lincoln Maltman EVERY game, damn near every play. That can't happen anymore.

I probably overpaid quite a bit, but I wanted there to be no way for him to pass it up. Hell, I offered more to other GMs for the same caliber of player and was rejected.

I'll make the trade after I sim the game. That way your lineup isnt screwed up.

Just a suggestion, but if Aaron is going to process the trade after the games are played, both teams might want to make sure all players involved in the deal are inactive, so that they can avoid being injured.

I understand your reasoning. This is an all or nothing trade though. If Allen continues to struggle even with the new weapons, you will only be able to build through FA and low draft picks. Also if he struggles, those picks could potentially be very high.

This also means I have to make my run this year. Charlotte potentially has the picks to get them back in contention and my division is already tough w/ Morgantown and Columbus in it.

Great point Sully, I forgot about that.

The only problem I have is that I only have 4 recievers on my roster, and I have to have 4 active. So Siegrist is active, but off my depth chart all together. Aaron, either way you do it, before or after the game, is fine by me, it's just preseason anyways. Whatever elprez wants to do is fine with me.

Not really. If Allen continues to struggle, I trade him for a handsome price. Also, I've noticed that the free agent market is a lot more forgiving here than in the other league I'm in. I learned that you've got to go for what you want and go big.

Its cool with me either way. My original export had 46 but since i was wheelin' and dealin' last night I've made another that has 43. Just let me know how you plan on doing it, so i can send the correct export.
