    Boston sends TE Blanchard
    Ohio sends its 2047 3rd.

Thanks, Shark! This shakes up our plans somewhat, but we probably weren't going to hold onto Blanchard after this year.

Sharks agree! Thanks Aston! Excited to see what a couple of great TEs can do in FOF8 when we turn (hopefully next season).

It will be cap space after the Midweek King Kosar, if you want to process the trade after importing the files and run the midweek it would be fantastic to have him for week 1! Thanks!

:) the beast is too nice. You just can't stop feeding it...

A former 1st round pick for a 3rd in his prime?? You can't let it go....

And here I come to find you need three active TEs in FOF8!

Haha, oh well. I gotta go with my rookie.

Yeah, it's fine :P I don't think it changes much, except I'll *have* to be scrounging for some cheap TEs to complement Gus Tatum in the coming seasons. That's fine, as long as that other guy I have keeps holding steady. I can always scrounge for a blocking TE, or so I hope!

One great addition in FOF8 is that you can actually use the formations you want for every single play, therefore you can make up a crappy 3rd TE, running just formations with 1 TE all the time :).

Yay! Another wasted roster slot just like QB3!

TE3 is used in Goal-Line, and Smash-Mouth runs in Singleback, Pro, Weak or 3 TEs heavy formations. You can also use a pure Pass Catcher TE for designated pass plays for him. If you watch Alabama, Pittsburgh or New England nowadays, they use a lot of 3 TEs sets. So I don't think is a waste of Roster Spot buddy :)

Yeah. I ranted about this a little on FOFC, but I'm not a fan. You're going to have to carry 4 TEs on the roster regularly, as a legal requirement, and that makes no darn sense. Especially if you actually want to have a 3rd QB.

New England specifically only signed a 3rd TE to their active roster due to Gronk's injury this year. Whenever they have needed an extra TE in blocking, they bring on their backup OT Cameron Fleming. In past years they have carried 3 TEs, I *think*, just because they wanted to -- but it should be a want to thing.

                        Why 4 TEs?

Because you need to have 3 active, so you start with 3 TEs. Then one guy is "out" for two weeks. Or maybe he gets "questionable - strained hamstring - high chance of reinjury -- recovery time unknown." Or maybe he has a hyperextended knee for 4 weeks and you'd rather not have him possibly blow out his ACL.

So, you carry 4 TEs. 5, if two TEs get injured that you don't want to release or put on IR.

                            I didn't see that point. You're right
