Why give both players a combined $75m bonus to sign a year ago and then flog them for next to nothing, to a friend and without offering on the trade block?

I honestly don't want to cause friction here but I am struggling to understand the whole thing. I am curious if nothing else...
On a side note, what is (if any exists) the deterrent in FOF to not just eat large bonuses?

Just wanted to know for my own personal rationalization if I need to do something like this in the future.

        1. Cap flexibility

        2. Possibility of the player taking a drastic ratings hit

        3. Most leagues (including this one) have a rule against a same-year sign and trade.

I don't have any problem with this trade. When it comes to a block buster trade there is always going to be people who think it is unfair, others are going to just say wow and wonder if it was worth it etc etc. However I would say this if I was to think this or that trade a person is getting way too much & then a week later someone offers me a deal where say I am getting a two 1st rds, 2nd rd and 2 older guys scouted around 63 for say a guy rated 90. I'd feel I am getting my moneys worth espically if my trade partner is in real need of the guy or is very happy with it. I am glad the trade was allowed eventually it will be my turn for block buster trade also.

I appreciate the discussion here. I generally don't want to intervene beyond asking (especially a newer player) to double-check it, but friendly community feedback is very valuable. Teams have abundant freedom to make bad trades, but maybe the discussion helps flesh out perspectives on how risky or how ill-advised a certain move might be.

Crazy trade but not too bad. First rounders can bust... Older players can take ratings hit. I like that type of balance in game.
