  • Chicago / Los Alamos

    From Chicago:
    SS - Earl Beal

    From Los Alamos
    FS - Shawn Glover
    2007 Fourth Round Pick

Beal is the best player on my team, but he's in the 7th year of his career. By the time we develop a competitive team he'll be retiring. In return we get a good young prospect in Glover and an extra pick which we'll need. Los Alamos improves it's safety play dramatically over with Beal replacing the scarily putrid Marco Josephson rated a 0 in zone defense and a 7 in man to man 8O

Good trade. Beal wasn't going to start for you, was he? Looks like Kneilling was going to be the starter at SS. You get a decent FS and an extra pick.

Plus like you said, by the time your team starts to take shape, Beal would of been in the league for about 10 years and starting to drop off.

Having Beal will help Los Almos out quite a bit in the secondary.

      Re: Chicago / Los Alamos

      From Chicago Reapers:
SS Earl Beal (7th year, Wisconsin)

      From Los Alamos Monsters:
FS Shawn Glover (R, Lake Forest)
      2007 Fourth Round Pick

The Monsters' improve exponentially in their secondary with the acquisition of Beal. Since the team is built to be competitive today, waiting for Glover to mature into an every down player would not make sense.

The Reapers are a team of the future and Glover can grow at the same pace as that organization.
