LOL, so true I should keep you posted on all my cut-ees so you can sign them like Rico Dietz. If you're hurting for safeties, I'm waiting to see who is going to sign J.J. Whalen who gained 1 potential after I cut him after TC, but you can kinda see from his high PH+int bars that he could be decent.

MalcPow's thread is a good basis for what bar patterns indicate masking, but I'm figuring out that masking isn't the whole story.

I might be wrong on this one. For WRs, a lone high BPR bar or a lone high BPR + one other bar is a mask. I was extrapolating that to DBs and PH. Malcpow does say he looks for guys with high PH + int bars. He doesn't say it explicitly like she does about WRs and the high BP+one other bar, but I was guessing he meant something similar.

What the... How did Dakota manage to release him the same week? Something went wrong here...

I propose the following: I'll re-sign Burroughs.

Then trade Burroughs and Dakota's 7th back to Dakota in exchange for his 6th.

And then Dakota will trade his 7th back to me again in exchange for his 6th back again.

That should leave us both even. And it can be all done for the regular season 1 sim, I think. That is, Dakota will need to go into regular season 1 with 52 players (45 active) and a fully set depth chart, with Burroughs being added to both lists during the sim, but not appearing on the depth chart.

It must be a mistake that got him released by Dakota. He wasn't even close to the 60 player limit, and the 53 limit is not auto enforced until the regular season starts.
