  • Port City Steam early trade block

I have several mediocre to very good players that are going to be unrestricted free agents or restricted free agents next year. I have decided the best way to improve this team is to make them available now for trades as soon as the next season starts. If a deal is made, I will resign them to the salaries listed below this year, and then deal them to you at the start of next season. I am looking for draft picks, and possibly a really crappy player in that same position that are currently being paid (or close to) the league minimum. I can do this until I have used up all my cap space next year.

The benefit for you to do this now is to prevent this players from hitting the open market (if I decide not to resign them) where it is likely they will command a much higher salary than what you can get them for now.

The requested draft picks in return should be used as a guide. I am, and always will be, able to negotiate.

6yr RB Wesley Bornstein. 75/75. Asking for $23,370,000/4yr. Looking for 1st rounder plus

    3yr P Darnell Allen. 55/55. $730,000/1yr. Asking for a 5th rounder

    3yr K Jeffrey Cooley. 53/53. $810,000/ 1yr. Asking for a 5th rounder

7yr WLB Roger Wahle. 40/40. 86 Pass Rush Strength. $7,530,000/4yr. Asking for a 4th rounder

3yr WLB Rodney England. 48/48. 89 Run Defense. 74 Pass Rush Technique. $1,150,000/1yr. Looking for a 3rd Rounder.

and now, my safeties, which for some reason, was chosen as the most important position to be two deep on.

12yr SS David Schwartz (believe me, it pains me to trade a fellow Jew). 74/74. Will be franchised next season and dealt to you. Looking for a 1st rounder.

11yr SS KC Konkler. 51/51. $4,230,000/2yr. Looking for a third rounder.

11yr FS Donald Holliday. 62/62. $4,870,000/2yr. Looking for a second rounder.

6yr FS Al Levin (another Jew. Chanukah will be lonely this year). 45/45. 82 Play Diagnosis. $920,000/1yr. (in this case, I'll offer double what he is asking for and give him a 2 year deal). Looking for a 4th rounder.

It's also likely I'll be looking to deal Sammy Dillion, if I can afford to. He'll cost a 1st round plus. I won't look to trade him until the beginning of next season.

    PM me if interested.

I'm not here to burst your bubble but those are pretty high demands for most of those players. Looking for first day picks for players who might even retire this off-season. And asking for 1st round picks for pending free-agents is kinda iffy.

I know you are brand new to the league. I might advise you to scan the trade announcement thread. See what players often go for.

But hey, you did say you are willing to negotiate. Maybe you can get some great deals for these guys.

Nothing is ever 100%, right? Your best player can have his career ended tomorrow with an injury. And I dont think these are unreasonable, and I like I said, only a guide.

And seriously, I'll I'm trying to do is get better with the few pieces I have. My experience with leagues with no rules on restructuring contracts is that free agency is slim pickins (granted, things might be different in this league). I'll have to rebuild in the draft AND this way, you can get good players as well. You need a RB? Wesley Bornstein is 75/75 and 6 mil a year for him is reasonable. How is asking for a 1st rounder plus for him unreasonable? Would you say that if he wasn't about to become a UFA? If I can't trade him, I'm going to resign him.

Hey man, do the best you can. Get the best deals you can. But I would still advise you to read up on a bunch of the previous trades made in the trade announcement thread.

I think a 1st for Bornstein is fair, I just think the rest of your expectations might be a tad high. Maybe not.

Bump. Removed some players that weren't resigned. Removed asking prices. Bornstein will still require a 1st rounder at least. Some ratings changed cause I got a new scout.

                  7yr RB Wesley Bornstein. 75/75.

                  12yr SS KC Konkler. 55/55.

                  12yr FS Donald Holliday. 67/67.

I've received a good offer on Dillion, so if you're interested, now is the time to vocalize that interest.
