  • 77/77 DT

Waco is currently taking offers for 77 overall DT Carson Wayne. He was drafted 5th overall five seasons ago and is the 4th highest rated DT in the league. I am looking for either a comparable player (same age/rating) or a 1st round plus in return.

I gotta move this guy. Highest round future draft pick gets him. Start the bidding @ a 7th rounder!

Damn, I would've gotten into a bidding war over this guy.

Rob, I'm beginning to develop a theory that you don't actually like playing the game, but enjoy drafting and trading. Actually, maybe just trading. ;)

Bidding war? I had him on my trade block for TWELVE days and you never made an offer.

Drafting is fun. Trading is fun. I don't really enjoy game planning.

I traded the QB Dakota to you because when he was with me he fumbled all the time and threw a ton of picks. Maybe that was faulty game-planning on my part or maybe it was a small sample size. Or maybe that is what he is and you will never win a championship with him.

I traded the DT Wayne because I got the WR Upshaw from Lake County, I couldn't afford the DT, and I already have a ton of money invested in my d-line.

Totes missed it. I think. I don't know. So many trade blocks this year.

Now that I can answer: You cannot base a QB on his rookie season. Ever. Fumbles are one of the last bars to develop and it's hidden, so ....

Avoid INTs is probably the same way.

Formations are Dakota's big issue right now, but that's for another thread.

But your loss, my gain. If we don't win a championship that's cool, we did well enough with him last season in what I assumed would be a dead season otherwise.

I wish I would have played FOF2K4 with the avoid fumbles bar so I had a better idea of how it works.

I am just going off what other people say here, but sacks lead to a good number of strip sacks (true since a 2k7 patch increased this, at least -- 6.4, perhaps?) and rookies just tend to throw a lot of INTs as they are developing.
