Sorry for not getting this done last night....was getting prepared for the wake/funeral, and had that done earlier today.

I'm now able to concentrate on this trade.

I have a final offer from one team

1,1,2,2,3

If either of the other 2 teams want to make a final offer, now is the time.

I hope to get this finalized tonight.

I don't believe that one WR worths 5 high picks...
Miami Sharks (BLB)
* BLB Champions --> 2017, 2020.

Ohio River Sharks (OSFL)
* OSFL Bowl CHAMPION > 2036, 2047.

That may be true for most positions -- for example, why give even a late first for say, a linebacker or a guard? You're probably going to draft a studly 10-year starter for yourself with that pick anyway. Unless timing & availability really dictate you to do it. Or they'd have to be really, really damn good.

As for this 100-BPR, studly WR who could end up playing for seven more seasons, it is mildly surprising that there isn't anyone out there throwing three 1's on the table. [Four or five seasons ago, Nemesis would have killed for this opportunity. He was offering 3 1's to every top WR-holding team in the league for Columbus and couldn't get a single taker, which, given the caliber of player, isn't surprising, either.]

For a team that isn't thinking "After I get this guy, I'll start destroying every other contender in the conference", though...for example, a struggling team, would probably be wiser to hold onto their own picks. Number one, they could lose a lot and end up giving Gainesville multiple Top 10's here, the stuff they could use to draft their rookie similar-caliber WR. Number two, as powerful as WRs are, they can only take a swiss cheese roster so far. Why mortgage the future for a number of .500 seasons and possible playoff berths? By the time you assemble the supporting staff -- which would be hard, as all the picks are gone -- the guy will be in the very tail end of his career and not even offer superb cohesion benefits.

Other positions this kind of thinking might apply to...probably QB only, I think. Everyone values things differently and dominant pass rushers as well as CBs also are typically pretty high up on the value chart, but in those cases it'd probably take a very young, and very, very elite guy for anyone to give up more than a single 1. I mean, there's also opportunity cost to consider, as you're losing 1s that you *could* be using to move up into the top 10 of a draft with, where this type of rookie talent is fairly common.

Anyway, good job on Ozias on working the market here. When Foos posted that first thread I nearly fell out of my chair, like, damn, really?! At least now, Fooswhoever gets the guy will be kinda paying up.

OK, I heard from one of the 2 teams and have been offered

1,1,2,2,3,3

So if I don't hear from the 3rd team, this is the offer I'll accept.

If I had three 1sts to give, I'd do it. Though Ozias isn't going to trade him in-division anyway. I'm all for him leaving the division though.

What gives you that idea? I can trade him anywhere.

Traded Harward.

Lowered asking price for Carraher.
