LDE - Carlton Ellis 60/60 8yr: Consistently one of the top pass rushers in the league. He's a better 4-3 DE than a 3-4 DE. Trade value up for discussion.

Edit: 9/3/11 - He just went down with an injury for a few weeks, but as of week 13 he is currently ranked the #5 LDE in the league. He's leading in QBKDs and second in hurries. There will be the first games Ellis has missed since entering the league, so he's definitely durable.

The only downside to him is that he isn't great at stopping the run, which is why I think he's better suited for a 4-3. I would very much like to move him in the offseason. As great of a player as he is, I continue to feel like he's somewhat wasted on my 3-4 defense.

Updated block. Carlton Ellis really is a better fit in a 4-3. I've got him locked up for a few more years and will keep him as his pass rush skills are phenomenal, but I'd rather see him better utilized.

He held up well through training camp and his age only slowed him down a bit. He's still got a good couple of years left in the tank.
