Long time without writing anything around here, but as I have a bit more time in my hands, after dropping few games and the Commissioner duties, I believer I can start again giving the league something to read about.
The last time the Sharks jumped into a football field, they lifted the OSFL's Trophy for the 2nd time in the Franchise history. And among all the excellent players that we had in the team, a very thin player, who no one though had what it takes to play for a Championship team, took the main stage in special teams:
CB Howie Garrison, Arizona State, 5'10 / 177 lbs, selected in the 6th Round of the 2056 Draft #12. Main position KR / PR / Ace Gunner PV14432_71.jpg?w=795.jpg
Howie had his best season so far returning the ball, after being given with the main nod in both punt and kick returns, he didn't disappoint and provided the Sharks with excellent field positions over and over again, which Grossman and the rest of the offense used effectively until the very end.
Punt Return --> 44 PR, 828 yards, 18.8 avg (#1) and 1 touchdown.
Kick Return --> 23 KR, 623 yards, 27.1 avg (#8)
Garrison led the league in punt return average, including one score to his resume, and was #8 in kick return average, excellent production for a 6th round pick few years back.
It's said that Sharkn20 is working with him in Dime sets this season, and Howie might start contributing in that side of the ball as a specialist thanks to his instincts for the football. "Garrison has exceptional skills to find the ball in the air and stick to his man during drills, he might be able to step up in certain situations in D# this year and show us what he can do", the veteran GM said.
