  • 2056 Los Alamos Ospreys Draft

The 2056 Los Alamos Ospreys hold the No.1 overall pick in this years draft after a miserable 2-14 finish last year...

A few days after the start of the draft the Los Alamos Front Office announced the hiring of Rick Vicedo (rgvicedo) as the new team General Manager.

When reached for comment GM Vicedo stated, "I am very excited to be the new GM of the Los Alamos Ospreys; I certainly have my work cut out for me in rebuilding this team. I am also quite pleased with our 1st round selection of RB Karl Huffman; this guy can run, catch, block, tackle, score a TD, snap the ball, hold the snap, & kick the extra point. Heck, he will even fill up the Gatorade cooler, walk the dog, and paint your back porch. He can flat out play football... and he can also pass it (to himself)!"

The team had but 21 players under contract with needs (big/small) at all positions which will be addressed via the draft & Free Agency

    2056 Draft results:

01.01 Karl Huffman [RB] - 68/84 > the top-rated running back (and player) on the board who has awesome breakaway speed and can run inside or outside with authority
02.02 Bryce Becher [CB] - 29/53 > he isnt the tallest defensive back (5' 8"), but he has good coverage skills and can play man-to-man/zone
    03.01 -None-
04.02 Jake Clayton [CB] - 25/63 > the team needed another defensive back and Clayton (also not tall at 5' 9"), but has similar skills as Becher and can play the run.
05.01 Byron Stanton [OG] - 30/57 > will provide depth at Guard and possibly develop into a good player down the road
06.02 Carson Lynn [OT]- 22/60 > will also provide depth at Tackle and hopefully develop on down the road...
07.01 Javier Thomas [WR] - 15/41 > he had intriguing skills as a third down receiver, but will have an uphill battle to make the team as the WR5

It was a decent draft (B+) with a few possible starters selected - hopefully these initial ratings survive TC/Pre2...
