    2044 Draft

    1.28 QB Alec Fisk (14/58 > 18/58)
With good ole Sage in year 17 now, time for a change. He'll be running things next season probably.
Lame, I see a bit of VOL decline in his ratings by his SR bar dropping a good amount. Shame, cuz he looks like he could have been much better than he'll be due to VOL.

    1.31 SS Sherman Monaghan (35/68 > 37/57)
We have no FS, knowing this, and seeing him not get passed Aston at 1.32 or garion who had the 1.31, I HAD to trade in to get him. So he'll move to FS and fill out that spot.
Seriously? VOL hits to both of my first rounders.. How fucking lame. Anyway, he might still be decent.

    2.28 LT Scottie Bush (16/56 > 21/56)
Had a nice little gap in my interviews, but saw him sitting there at 2.28 and no chance I'd pass him up. May sit this year, but will likely start in the near future at LT.
Glad to see this guy hold, I didn't interview and wasn't quite sure he was good.

    3.3 RG Charlie Vera (24/51 > 28/46)
Still in that interview gap and needed to pick. Vera seemed like the logical choice, and I needed a Guard, so he'll likely start this season moving forward.
Might still start, but he won't be as good as I had hoped.

    3.28 RT Trevor Hopper (17/60 > 23/60)
Finally got my interviews, and this one came back Underrated. Easy pick. And will start across Scottie Bush at Right Tackle when the time comes.
Doesn't appear to be Underrated as his interview suggested. He did lose some static bar, which may suggest VOL, but it's not much, if any.

    4.28 DT Emmett Poston (28/44 > 30/42)
He'll make a nice backup DT. Probably won't start this year, but we'll see.
Not as bad as I had hoped, but nothing special. Still probably won't start this year, but we'll see. On second thought, he's probably going to be the starter.

    5.28 C Evan Clancy (18/43 > 21/41)
Might make the team as a backup, but nothing more than that. Will be looking to replace eventually.
Still may make the team as a backup, but overly not impressed, but could remain as a backup.

    6.28 DT Lester Hobgood (23/40 > 26/38)
Will make the team as a backup along side Poston, won't start, probably never will.
    [b]

    7.28 TE Jamie Wuerffel (17/38 > 25/44)
Unlikely that he'll even be 3rd string TE.
Puzzled by this one.. Not only will he make the team, but he'll be the backup TE.

Overall, this draft may end up being decent, but due to the VOL that hit some of our guys, even a small amount, it appears worse than it could have been. Either way, gotta live with it, and we still got some players and filled some holes that we needed to.

Hah, hopefully they make it passed PS2 unVOL'd.

Odd that I passed on him as he's the exact sort of DT I usually draft. Probably because I drafted two DTs already, but I went with DE Collier and he came in not quite as high in Run D or PRT as I thought. Hobgood would've been a better pick for us.

I'll be curious how your interviews pan out after TC and Ex2.

The more I look at it, the more I'm thinking that Poore DT that I signed as an UDFA might end up better than Hobgood DT after PS2. We'll see though. I'm real curious to see how Chase Glover DE (UDFA) turns out!

            Updated with PS2 results.

Much to my surprise, Poore didn't turn out better than Hobgood, but Hobgood didn't turn out well either. Chase Glover DE actually turned out how I would have liked, and will make the team as a backup.

Fisk's Avoid Int has got to be high as he doesn't look anywhere near what his future rating says. Accuracy bar is still high enough he may work out to be a good QB, but I'm only seeing him at 47 future and I don't believe it's because of VOL. Ride that bench, Fisk, and we'll see where you are later.

S Monaghan looks like Vol hit. Zone still looks good, so he'll be a good S just not the stud you may have wanted.

T Bush has been all over the place per my scouting, which seems to suck for OL. He went: 54 to 63 to 46. Wtf?

I see Vega better than you, but I really don't know who is seeing him correctly.

I've got Hopper dropping at Ex2. *sigh* I can't get rid of my OC soon enough.

              Good pickup on TE Wuerffel!

Overall it looks like Irish did a hell of a job getting good scouting on this team. So I'm hoping I can trust my guy's numbers.
Yeah, Fisk's Sense Rush Dropped from 46 to 39 by my scout, I have to assume other bars were affected as well, but maybe not. It's possible it was just a shift in bars, it's possible that he was probably going to go +2/+7 in PS2, but the VOL impact instead netted him -1/0, dunno.

I hope my scouts are right over yours! :)

Wuerffel was the pleasant surprise. I had zero expectations of him, but he delivered more than I coulda hoped.

He's definitely a while out, but will be my QB eventually, unless some catastrophe happens.
