    I jumped in an took the reigns in Kalispel just as the draft was starting, so I have no history with any of the old players. Lots of people moving out and lots of young players moving in. The roster had 30-some players at the start of the draft and I expanded the roster to 65 for TC.

    I planned to move the team, but I'll hold off for this year at least and figure out where to move them to!

    FA signings:

    17th yr QB Stephen McMaster 52/52 (48/48)
    5th yr RB Alfred Jamison 33/33 (35/35)
    7th yr WR Daryl Bennett 39/39 (35/35)
    12th yr T Scottie Tuell --> C 43/48 (43/48)
    7th yr T Doug Humphries --> G 54/54 (54/54)
    5th yr T Will Schrimper 41/41 (43/43)
    11th yr P Norbert Parrish 65/65 (64/64)
    6th yr DE Mickey Boxer 28/28 (22/22)
    12th yr DE Percy Campbell 61/61 (56/56)
    5th yr DT Ronnie Wagner 48/48 (50/50)
    7th yr CB Abel Onnen 45/45 (45/45)
    5th yr S Emmit Lake 40/40 (40/40)
    5th yr S Juan Cobb 41/41 (41/41)

    The draft looks good so far. I’ll follow it up after Ex2 for changes.

    1.3 ILB Tanner Johannson 52/55 (59/82) – Chose Johannson over Kirk Gray (1.6 to NOS) and went for the guy with the incredible combines over the good combines and better bars. He bumped up in TC, but still looks miles behind Gray – this looks like the wrong call so far, but he’ll still be a serviceable MLB.
    2.2 DE Hugh Kirk 26/61 (23/53) – Lots of players I considered for this pick, but Run D and PRT swayed me. So far so good.
    3.22 WR Bubba Hummel 17/43 (18/34) – Traded the 3.3 to Chi-town for 3.22 4.24 5.23 and a 7th next year. Hummel won’t gain much extra yardage after the catch, and he may drop a few, but his RR reads 4/68 for me so he should help the cause. Fans love him already. Must be the name.
    4.2 S Fred Clayton 20/51 (19/43) – Solid bars. He’ll be a starter soon enough. Good value at this stage.
    4.24 DT Peyton Porter 22/36 (22/34) – I think this pick fired before I reset the priority list. Mediocre, but the fans love him too. Hmmmm.
    5.3 Thurman Hill 28/52 (30/47) – Another receiver with great RR bar and low avoid drops – but beggers can’t be choosers by the 5th round – I’ll take him with his flaws. He’ll be a leader quickly – leadership is 96 and personality is 100.
    5.23 RB Ruben Macias 28/40 (29/39)- looked a lot better before TC. Backup RB that should be able to catch a few from the backfield. His RR is his best asset and he may end up as a WR before long.
    6.2 QB Britt Raines 22/48 (22/43) – His combines were bad, but his bars looked quite good. I held off on picking him for two rounds already at this point and he was definitely worth a shot with a 6th rnd pick. Fingers crossed.
    7.3 WR Dennis Upshaw 15/30 (16/28) – I had to replace pretty much my entire receiver corps, so why not add another WR? His bars were pedestrian at best, but he ran a 4.30 dash. Fastest in the draft class. You’d think that would show more than it does currently. Looking forward to his progress.

    Late FA:

    Still lots of holes to fill at this stage and a boatload of money to spend. Picked up MOST of the LFAs I was after, but did miss out on a few that I should have spent more $ on. LB Bill Smith and CB Asher Laudenbach, who both look like keepers. Most of this group has a long way to go before being called starters, but due to the empty roster spots they’ll make the show this year and collect a little money and a few stories to tell their grandkids down the road.

    3rd yr QB Alec Huntley 21/40 (37/37)
    1st yr FB Rickey Hastings 24/42 (23/38)
    1st yr FB Geoff Ellison --> TE 19/37 (18/33)
    1st yr FB Leon Lelusic --> TE 14/29 (14/29)
    1st yr C Louie Mohammad 17/45 (17/41)
    1st yr G Ralph Ward 31/43 (33/42)
    1st yr T DJ Ansell 17/27 (16/25)
    1st yr K Louie Brewer 29/56 (28/38)
    1st yr DE Tristan Thomason 11/36 (8/20)
    1st yr DT Calvin Reidl --> DE 18/34 (19/35)
    1st DT Justin Fennell 20/35 (18/27)
    7th yr ILB Dan Bratcher 33/33 (27/27)
    1st yr ILB Tyler Feterik 12/18 (12/18)
    1st yr OLB Jackson McDonald 11/24 (11/21)
    1st yr OLB Rudolfo Buckner 29/41 (30/42)
    1st yr CB Howie West 23/42 (23/32)
    1st yr S Buddy Money --> CB 14/37 (13/25)
    1st yr S Korey Perkins 10/36 (10/26)
    1st yr S Amos Duncan 16/35 (16/26)
    1st yr S Kody Jenkins 10/36 (20/38)
    1st yr S Harvey Wooden 21/34 (19/33)
    1st yr C Donovan Ramsey (LS) 17/17 (18/18)

    Ex2 wasn't very helpful overall - about a dozen players improved and more than 30 regressed.

    The biggest loss was 24 yo LG Kendall Gillot who suffered a Very Serious ACL injury last season and dropped -36/-39. Ouch.

    The biggest gain was MLB Tanner Johannson who who improved +7/+27 and looks like the stud the combines suggested he would be.

    Most of our speculative LFA pickups dropped and as a result most will walk before opening day.

      Glover and Johannson should anchor the defense for years. Nice pick up with Thurman Hill in the 5th as well
