The preseason is over and the Showboats have their winner of position battle!!

Back-up RB --> K. Giles over R. Groh Maybe we found another gem in the draft or maybe is just preseason but Rookie Giles rushes for 7.26 avg 10 carries for 10+ yards and 1 hundred game and 3 touchdowns. Also he´ve 78.57% of catches completed in his way and 7.36 per grab. Bad news for Groh in his last year of rookie contract who will be the 3rd back-up but maintain his job returning the balls.


4th WR --> A. Hargrave over S. Littlefield Maybe 4th Wide out in other teams will be simply a cover up man but in the passing focused attack of the Showboats he´s important as a slot WR and Hargrave will be in the line-up week after week after a good pre-season, grabbing 60% of the balls that were threw to him and put a decent 10,25 YPC in the way.
Two rising players and one winner! This is football man!


2nd OLB --> M. Shapiro over P. Arbuckley Big investment in Shapiro during the off-season and now he´ll be the back up over the drafted rookie, maybe he´ll a bust but we need to give him a chance after a good pre-season play, 6 tackles, 2 hurries and only 2 catches allowed... See what happens in real action!

We hit the first on the road against a divisional team Lake County!

W. Andrews threws for 232 Yards and 1 score and runs for anothers 23 yards.
K. Giles scores his first profesional touchdown and still flying under the radar to be the next RB when Cleghorn finish his ternure with the team.
K. Chervert continues catching the ball in his final year and are knocking to be one of the best payed TE in the OSFL...

D. Graham and C. Perkins made 8 tackles each one and will be the leaders on this team stopping the run and covering the ball!!

Inside the debacle of the start in this 2026 season starter SLB B. Gallop and back-up MLB J. Cooper resign with the team and will stay with the Showboats 4 and 3 years respectively!

Bob Gallop SLB 50/50 ----> 13.95 M 4 Years
Johnny Cooper ILB 34/ 44 > 5.14 M 3 Years

Another big game, another divisional W, only two victories till this moment and both against divisional rivals... Seems that we´ve something to say about win the AC East again, always that we can win more games with the outsiders!!

W. Andrews broke the record of the franchise in Passes completed with 33 and his first 300+ yard game of this season.

J.B. Erickson played as good as we drafted him in the first round catching 6 from 7 for 87 yards and two big catches during the 4th into double coverage to make the rebound possible!

N. Howe scored his first 100+ game and the second touchdown of the season, without another big weapon he earn all the defensive atention and will fight versus double coverages all the season.

On the defensive side we´re allowing big game after big game and now are the worst defense in the league... Bad man... The LBs allowed catch after catch and I can´t do nothing to solve this problem.

L. Howe and V.Rose still playing great football deffending more than 80% in pass plays.

Now week off to recover touched players and try to learn and study something about the defensive game!!

In this week off I was scheduled to meet with K. Chervert and give him the offer of a new contract. Finally he asumes that the 80% of his pretentions is enough to be with us for 4 more years and sign a 19,09 M extension with more than 6M in guarented money!!

Glad to have him anothers 4 years!!!

* Showboats Midseason report

We currently have more than dissapointing season after the great results of the last year, most of the problems (in offense) cames cause the lack of a real threat to help Neal Howe. K. Chervet started in the last few weeks to show in the locker room, to me and to the OSFL that he maybe will be one option. A. Hargrave catch maybe all that Andrews can threw to him but in the recent weeks shows inconsistency getting open, and our star QB can´t throw the football in his direction.

Due this lack the RBs also are involved in the passing game, and still doing a decent job running and catching the football in recent weeks. Rookie 4th rounder out of Air Force K. Giles are the starter and have 518 total yards and 4 total touchdowns. Veteran W. Cleghorn losses this spot due his fumbles and inconsistency and now with 737 total yards and 2 rushing touchdowns still ahead of the rookie in the stats.

After a bad gameplanning and wrong spots is my fault have one of the latest defenses in the league, against Lake county I can see if the win at Motor City was a real turn-around or the same problems sticks in this side of the ball. Lack of Pass rush, lack of stopping the run game, and lack of passing defense... The return of Luke Howe will help that the opposite WRs not get openning play after play but I really need to up-grade this part of the team in the next free agency, maybe releasing the leader R. Morris (Only 54 of cohesion) and start to build around another guy.

Time to do or die with 6 losses and the WC spot quite far, we don´t have nothing to loose and finish 8-8 or 9-7 will be acceptable for me, despite kill my draft position

Another shame loss, and the first that will pay for our horrendous deffense was Ross Morris, our ex-secondary leader, due a conflicts with other players I decide to part ways to try to rebound the ambient in the locker room... FS Harry Webster will take the reins, maybe is not the best player but at least don´t make problems!
