  • Ac West week 1

Here we go again in the wild wild west.

2021 starts with in division matchups

both teams look to improve off last yeas performances, and contend for a west crown and a playoff birth. Denver greatly improved thier running game with 1st round pick Cornelius Jeffords it should force teams to bring thier safteys up and let bart ross run free.

on D they made the dig free agent splash signing vet MLB Leo Borders to a record contract 5 years $107M usually numbers reserved for WR's and Qb's but denver wanted him bad. and they improve one of the better defensise in teh OSFL.

LA goes to visit Denver with recently acquired QB Sammy Dillion, the monsters look for a little more octane to keep pace with the likes of Phoenix and Utah, who finished 7th and 9th respectively in points per game last year. After finishing averaging a anemic 14 ppg last year theres nowhere to go but up.

we haev a good d vs a bad o but you add in a veterian qb who is not used to losing. unfortunately come out with a La loss as it will take time to gel.

    Denver wins 21-17

in the other matchup Utah Hosts Phoenix

2 weeks ago this was could have been a game of the week now...its gonna be a trip to the tool shed

Utah looks to have for the most part done some minor tewaks under the hood on offense and upgrade thier D. boone is coming off an outstanding season throwing 32 td with only 4 ints and a qb rating of nearly 104. with everyone back this year and healthy theres no reason why Utah could not duplicate the same start they had last year coming out of the gate 8-1 but it will be how they finish that judges this season a succes or failure.

In Phoenix things are quite different, with the injury to tom skeen things look kind of shaky especially after the less than stellar preseason performance of Rico Oglethorpe. phoenix will start Lamont emmerson, he looked good in the preseason againt yuma going 26-38 he wont be asked to win games.

unfortuneatly for the riders utah will put up lots of points and without tom skeen i dont think the riders can keep up, especially on the road.

Phoenix scores late to make it look good but Utah stomps a mud hole in em

    Utah 31-20

Now that Denver is human-owned again, with the amount of talent they have in key spots, I am thinking they should be the favorites in this division.

i wouldnt go that far yet i mean we havetn seen to much of the gameplan ect and will he put that stud rb of his to use but i will say this Denver has the toughest opening schedule @ LA then CAM then @ PXT and @ WAS.

if denver is 4-1 or 3-2 going into portland then yes they will be in the drivers seat. but thats a tough road. but if they can go even 3-3 thru that first part of the schedule they have a lot of rebuilding teams in the back half of the season
