NEW DAYS FOR
THE STINGRAYS!
New Orleans -- The lawyers (who have been in charge since the untimely death of the previous Stingrays owner) have finally been sent packing. It was a long journey--particularly for the Stingrays faithful--through mountains of legalese and months of malaise but the transfer was finally done minutes after midnight and just hours before the first stages of late free agency would commence.

Cheers erupted throughout New Orleans as the new owner, Dutch, takes the reigns of one of the most celebrated teams in the OSFL.
"A pulse...a heartbeat...has finally returned to the team. This city is gonna love this! Great change...I love it." commented strong safety Stanley Norris, the longest tenured Stingray player (having been with the team since 2012).
The other players and coaching staff were also very thrilled to have new ownership take the reigns. Head Coach Riddick Bertola was already thankful to see some of the moves made. "Since he's been in charge, we sat down and had some rather frank long-term discussions about our previous strategies that were put in place and we are on the same page regarding future changes. We're ready to get the Stingrays back on track and one day soon to get them into championship contention, being in synch is huge."
Some actions have already taken place since the announcement was made, for instance, the Stingrays announced that all of their draft picks were signed and given a chance to compete, despite the new owner not having made any of the selections himself.
Most notably, QB Aaron Barrett, who has led the Stingrays for the last four seasons finds himself needing to compete with 2nd round draft pick, Cornell Davidson for the starting job.
The Stingrays also committed key down-lineman and linebackers to transforming from their base 4-3 roles to base 3-4 roles. Those changes have already taken place to make sure that's a reality.
The bottom line is that the new owner is ready to get this party started. It might be a while before a champion is built, but a championship is the goal.
"I'm grateful to be here, I don't know much about the OSFL, so I'll sit back and watch and wait for a little while, but it looks like a great league with a bunch of serious owners and a dedicated commish. That's what will ultimately make this so much fun. I'm very excited to be here."
GO STINGRAYS.
