Foley's finally having a good year. I should send Fletcher a thank-you card.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.

BABY BABY
That was the most complete game the Bees have put together in this 2020 season!
Aside from the 14 penalties for 106 yards, which was somewhat ugly. But anyway, the rest of it! We saw Air Randy! We saw a running game (I'm still wtf?? at this)! We saw a DEFENSE! And we even saw an INTERCEPTION! Imagine??!
Lake County's star QB, with his star RB and star WR/WR combo, was 18/28 for 82 yards at one point, and finished 27/49 for 165 yards, no scores, 2 sacks, and a pick. Offense gets the assist for this one, with Boone pressuring Pipkin to keep up. Still, kudos kudos kudos to the secondary for doing a number on those receivers. Pipkin's average yards per pass play would've made a disappointing running game performance today. He was completely taken out of his game, and it was beautiful to behold.
Vinny Ireson - 14 targets - 4 catches. 21 yards. Tommy Hodgson - 5 targets, 4 catches, 17 yards. Hot stuff.
And how about a huge freaking ovation for 2nd-year, 2nd-string cornerback Kevin Cate for making Utah's first interception of the year, against a low-picks guy like Pipkin, no less!
Man, what a game. It appears we may have even found a second-string running back. Ken Schacht, for all his exceptional bars and physical traits, has not yet amounted to much. Meanwhile, 2nd-year, 2nd-round pick Glen Plummer, whom we've never liked from even the outset...lit up the field when he finally got a chance to at the end of last year, going for 18-148 and 16-114 in two starts. And today, he goes 17-88. Totally inexplicable. This guy with the 22 breakaway speed bar regularly charges into the secondary, and Ken Schacht's 96 seems to result in a lot of 2 yard gains.
Still concerned about the OL. Plummer gets a carry against a cover-2 man defense expecting the pass, and gets drilled for a 4-yard loss. Haha.
The general feeling after today, though, is: booya!

While I understand your complaints about Schact, check out how Willis, the starting RB for North Liberty is doing: http://108.59.255.76/~benelou/osfl/b....php?teamid=10

Pshaw! Greta's Top Ten pass rushers doesn't include the best pass rusher in the OSFL this season, Utah's Ian Subramanian. With 5 sacks and 20 hurries in 7 games - while being injured for the past three and a half games - Sub has the most prolific individual pass rush stats of anyone in the league.
He is a close second in PRPct to Dakota's Rich Johnstone, also not on Greta's list, but Johnstone has less plays to his credit so far. Man. Ian Subramanian. Basically my favorite player ever.
Ready to take on these AI Showboats. Surprised they aren't doing better than they are.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.

Week 9 - Utah 20, at Ohio Valley 0
First shutout by the Bees since a 19-0 victory of Phoenix in week 6 of last year. The last one before that was in the 2009 season (Brooklyn). Andrews is languishing there in Ohio Valley, and he is such a talented young QB, too.
Week 10 -Utah 24 vs Phoenix 17
A win we really needed to stay on top of this division. These resurgent Riders are a very good team this year. The Bees had a fast start, but allowed a comeback at the end. Randy Boone at this point, is fast establishing himself as one of the top QBs in the league.
Boone has a 105.7 QBR, and a 22-4 TD-INT ratio. The only thing in this league that is better at Avoid Interceptions this year, is the Utah Bees defense.
Week 11: Utah at Los Alamos
Oh, this will be a good one. Both teams have grown since week 1's close Bees win. There goes LA making that late-season charge again.Last edited by Aston; 08-28-2011, 09:51 PM.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.

This was ridiculous:
12/18, 34 yards, 1.9 average.
Randy Boone's statline on short passes thrown vs Los Alamos.
GG nelmsm.
More ridiculousness:
* 13 penalties for 70 yards. Losing faith in this HC.
* Only in Utah...does a run against a 3-deep defense looking only for a pass, result in a 4-yard loss.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.

I feel ridiculously lucky to have come away with a win there. Utah penalties saved the day for me I think. The way my team had been playing I was ready to take Utah and give up the 7 points or whatever it was. I think I lucked out and managed to get the game where it was Utah's turn to have all the die rolls turn out bad. Even then it was a pretty close game. GG NutahGM - Davenport Brawlers BLB
