In FOF7, setting up MP games is somewhat easier than it's been in the past. First, make sure you're patched up to 7.0b (released March, 2014).
Start the game and click on the Multi Player Icon:

In the Multi Player Menu that appears, click on "Enter New Career" to begin:

Our league name is, case sensitive, OSFL2007.
1. Click "Begin Without Draft" and select your team based on the following table:<div style='width:80%;margin: 1em auto 0 auto'>
Spoiler
2. Instead, download the OSFL Setup Files.zip -- these will give you the team names, logos, and previous season data you'll need.
3. Copy the contents of the .ZIP's OSFL2007 folder into your own <span style='color:#666;font-weight:bold''>leagues\OSFL2007</span> folder. If you can't find it, enter this into the Run Dialog (Windows + R on the keyboard) or in the address bar of any Windows Explorer window:
<div style='width:80%;margin: 1em auto 0 auto'>
Code:
%APPDATA%\Solecismic Software\Front Office Football Seven\leagues\OSFL2007
4. Back to the game window, click "Import Initial Game Files" from the same Multi Player Menu as before, and select the OSFL2007 league. This time, enter the FTP information as prompted.
This will download the league files, and when that's done, you'll be asked for the Team Password which the commissioner has provided.
5. And now, you're in! Treat yourself to a cold one. You deserve it.

When the commissioner announces that a sim has been run, open up your OSFL2007 game, and click "Import Game Files." Then, when you're done managering, click "Export." That's all there is!
