1st Round: 4 hours
Rounds 2-5: 2 hours

The draft clock runs from 8am to 12 midnight ET.

IMPORTANT NOTES:


Upon logging into the draft utility for the first time, please register your team by entering the user name (The three letter city code found in the game), a password of your choice and an email account.

Please check the picks you have been assigned to make sure it matches what you think you have. I took the draft order from the latest league file, so if you have traded picks since then you will need to send those picks to the appropriate team via the utility interface as soon as possible.

The rest of the utility is pretty self explanatory and there are a ton of instructions throughout the utility. Let me know if you have any questions.

Is the draft util software updated? Also wondering how scout picks will work. I remember something wacky happened with a couple picks last year. If someone's pick is missed, is it going to be a scout pick or something? Thanks, am just wondering.

A few comments on this:

-If all of the required information in entered, the utility does an ok job of making scout picks. On the other hand, I think it is not quite ready since I do not see the mock draft. So this is a really good comment.

-By "wacky", I think you are referring to the couple of times we had to back-up the draft in the 1st round because people missed their picks. I remember one of those occasions was because someone waited until they had about 2 minutes left on the clock to finalize a trade. The other one I really do not know.

-Please, please do not back-up the draft this season, unless there is really, really no other option. People may be unaware of this, but if you have a list set and there is a reset done to the draft, your list does not get reset! So if some of the guys on your list were picked, they do not get put back on the list. Not to mention that it makes the draft drag out for longer.

chuck, by wacky I mean there was this really awful player (I want to say maybe a linebacker that was ranked in the 600s out of everyone in the draft) kept getting picked for a team. Maybe it was a queue thing, I don't know exactly. Just remember some confusion about it. The first round pick was rolled back but I think he got picked again a round later.

If you need help with conscriptor or getting the mock draft up, just ask. I do not know the answers but I can ask some people who will. Or there are people here who probably have the experience.

Personally I think that if you scout pick in the utility without the mock draft up that you are asking for trouble.

The first round pick was rolled back but I think he got picked again a round later.

It is not just the guy who gets pick who drops off all the lists. It is also everyone who gets picked in the interm.

I just think that if a roll-back is considered in the future that everyone should know the impact and decide accordingly. It could really screw someone over.

Ohhh, that's what I was asking about. the mock draft. I couldn't think of the name. I saw it in the cyFL last year and thought "huh, that's new." And I forgot all about it until now because this year's draft utility in that league doesn't have it.

Ben indicated in the roll call that there was an updated version. Personally I like the old version better but according to Ben it has some issues. Here is what he said:

"If I do stay, can we please get an updated version of Conscriptor for the draft? The one used here now is very much outdated, and has a pretty big security risk to boot. "

As for the utility working fine, well yes it is. But like I said, if you do not upload the file to produce the mock draft then you could get some weird scout picks. No big deal for me, I'm not planning to let the scout make any picks for my team.

I am not sure what is required for the mock draft but... I think you have to run extractor (in Stelmacksoft) for the whole league. Something like what I did for Ben's roster update.

Ok, I think I'm going crazy. I'm seeing the 2017 draft class when I'm logging into the draft utility.

Weird thing is I don't think it was like this when I logged into it earlier yesterday. I remember adding a few guys from what I think is the current class to my priority but it's blank right now.
