1.12 - Hardy Robertson - CB - Texas A&M
Robertson was a four-year starter at Texas A&M and despite his teams struggles, he has been on OSFL teams radars for a number the last two years. The Phantoms desperately need a corner opposite of Jake Kennedy and felt that Robertson was too good to pass up with the 12th overall pick. After fielding multiple offers to drop down in the 1st round, Portland went with the top rated corner

However, the scouts were very impressed with his combine, arguably the best of any corner in the draft. He will likely report to Training Camp as the second best corner on the roster and will fit right into the bump-and-run man-cover scheme the Phantoms prefer to run.
