  • Playoffs!?!?!?! playofs?????

lets talk playoffs! in the American conference Anchorage, New Orleans and the Phills have all won thier divisions the Rays and the gladiators are still looking to clinch home field throughout the playoffs.

Anchorage looks to have the inside track playing at home against the 4-11 Stags. While the rays have to go into Memphis and face a game Admirals team who's playoff hopes are slim but a win wouldnt hurt.

things are quite interesting in the AC west as Utah, Phoenix and La are all at 8-7 and Utah and Phoenix play for the division title and a playoff spot, even if they win thier game against the 4-11 Grizz, Los Alamos still would need the Bees and Riders to tie to ear a post season appearance.

the wild card picture is pretty simple, after some research, Portland's in no matter what, Waco is in with a win or a loss by the Bombers, if the hawks lose and the Bombers win Washington is in if Waco, Memphis, Ohio, Motor city and Los Alamos all finish 9-7 Waco is in.

Will Portland rest its starters? Have the bombers peaked too early, they've won 6 in a row.
Waco has lost 2 of the last 3 and this is their 3rd straight road game and it could end up being a must win, can they deliver on the road?
Will Utah earn its 2nd playoff appearance in a row?
Will Phoenix return to the post season after a 2 year absence?

WHEN the hawks lose and the Bombers win Washington is in
I think I'm rooting harder against Waco than I do against the Dallas Cowboys. And that's really saying something.

Of course, I have to beat Portland first, that's not exactly a gimme. Gonna be an interesting week o' fake football.

      NATIONAL CONFERENCE

Now lets take a look at the NC......

in the South and North respectively, Charlotte and Dakota are the 1 and 2 seeds, however with a Cougars loss and a win over Chicago, Dakota would get home field throughout the playoffs.

In the East Camden has their division locked up and look to finish up and stay healthy against South Maryland.

and In the west San Fran and Pearl harbor both want to win. For the bayhawks its to secure their playoff spot for the defenders its put them into the wild card picture. San Fran holds the edge if they finish with the same record as they swept Pearl Harbor this year

and speaking of the wild card race the Catfish and the Defenders control their own fate, win and your in.

      Who will secure home field?
Will Columbus avenge its Stevens cup upset from last year?
Will Pearl harbor return to the playoffs?
Can Camden capture its 2nd title in 3 years?

Portland has no intentions of resting it's starters.

        The Phantoms hate the Bombers.

We've messed around to the point where I don't know what to expect from this team. The schedule maker certainly did us no favors with 7 of our final 9 games on the road, but we haven't taken care of business when we should have. So inconsistent that it probably doesn't matter if we win or lose in this final week, since any playoff run would be a total crapshoot at best.

We were planning on resting a few starters but now I'm not so sure. I guess we'll get a week off in the playoffs, why take one now?

I don't think we'll make the playoffs... we've stumbled these few weeks.

I'm pretty sure we've got the division on tie breakers now. That is, if FoF uses the NFL division tie breakers. The only reference I found in the help file talks about the in game power rankings.

If it does use the NFL tie breakers and in the likely event Boston wins this week and we lose (our offense has been just horrible the last few weeks) both teams would end up 9-7 with a 4-2 division record and 7-5 against common foes, but we'd have the better conference record at 8-4 compared to 7-5.

But we're not going to be taking it easy this week. We've already lost our top CB and starting LT, and we're not likely to be going deep in the playoffs this year. Its time to try and salvage a little pride, end an ugly losing streak, and sweep the closest thing we have to a division rival.
