I've always had good luck keeping my FB as a FB, but I've never tried to convert, so I can't say.

Glad my 2nd round pick is wasted on a QB that will never see the field in Anchorage.

The draft didnt move. Your team used its full two hrs. Thats why if you are going to be away from the draft for a significant amount of time, you should always set your preference list.

Question about auto-picks. I know in other leagues, if a person doesn't make the pick in time the selection is based on in-game needs according to the needs list.

The highest ranked player at that position is selected. I searched to see what criteria or guidelines we have in place here.

The process has always been either the commish can make the pick or the utility makes it. In this case, it appears Linty wasnt around when your time was up so the utility made the pick. I have no idea what criteria the utility uses for selecting players. Ive always seen it as punishment for an owner missing his time.

That's my fault. I went with best player available for your pick because your time had run out and you didn't have any players in your queue. From now on I'll try to make sure its best player available at position of need.

aholbert, as the admin who ran the draft last year, can you give me a sense if what I asked for in chat is possible? To recap, I completely f'd up a trade I had just agreed to with PHO by selecting a player when I meant to just add him to my priorities list (wasn't even high priority -__-). Are draft picks completely set in stone, or can Linty, before he switches ANC to auto, undo my last pick and give that one to PHO? Is this unethical in any sense? I want to make sure what I am asking for is within reasonable bounds and would accept the messup for what it is - me being really stupid.

Its the commish's choice. In the first draft ever, I screwed up my 1st round pick and the commish at the time would not let me repick. I tend to lean toward picks being set in stone but its Linty's call.

OK - it looks like Linty rolled it back.

Selfishly I am pleased with the result, but when I made the request ANC hadn't made their pick yet. I'll admit even I am taken aback that the draft was rolled back once it moved on-I expceted it would just continue. I hope I haven't started a shitstorm. If people are unhappy with this please don't fault Linty, it's on me. :(

I think picks should be set in stone once the next pick happens and it's in the past...maybe more of a grey area if the pick has been made but the next hasn't, but I understand the perspective that all picks should be set in stone. In any case, maybe the best thing to do now is to set a strict policy going forward.

Well, I learned my lesson...next time you make a trade, switch the picks in the draft utility BEFORE doing anything else.
