    What is everyone's initial impressions?

The Phantoms select 19th and there are a lot of players rated to go in the 10-25 range that I got my eye on.

"Punk" as in Punxsutawny? I'm at 7 by the way and MAY want to trade down 5 to 10 spots...

Looks like a bunch of DT's and DE's at the top of the board. I'm sitting at 16 and will probably be looking to move up.

No. I need to take a look at the schedule and get everything ready. I'll get with Aaron and figure everything out.

I'll let you guys know when its all ready to go.

              Mock draft time!

Just the first 10 pick for right now. I'll see if I can get the rest of it banged out before the draft actually begins.

1: Washington CB Nate Graham, West Virginia

They'd love to get a QB here to replace Marlon Madison, But top signal caller Robert MacGettigan looks to have more in common with Jose Bower than Eddie Castillo. He may be the best Quarterback in the draft, but at 1.1 you have to get better value than that. Graham could help shore up a pass defense that ranked 31st last year in yards per pass attempt allowed.

              Alternative Pick: DT Charlie Patton

2: North Liberty LT Desmond Welch, Alcorn State

The Enforcer's desperately want a big time wide receiver (who doesn't?) worthy of former #1 overall pick QB Myron Allen, but rumor has it they're looking to trade down here so I'm not sure they think that Cassidy, Buckley or Shapiro are the guy. If they can't get a deal done, then they might just have to settle for settle for a stud left tackle to cover Allen's back side.

              Alternative Pick: WR Eric Cassidy

3: Baltimore WR Eric Cassidy, East Carolina

Cassidy might not be the best overall player (or even the best receiver) available at this pick, but he fills a desperate need for the Bulls. With Wally Dela Cruz's departure for Denver this off season Baltimore's top returning wide receiver is Courtney Raley, last year's 7th round pick.

              Alternative Pick: DT Charlie Patton

4: Waco DT Charlie Patton, Oklahoma

As part of last season's trading frenzy, Waco shipped all-world Defensive Tackle Louie Nelms off to Las Vegas for (among other things) this very pick. So it would seem fitting to draft his replacement here. But you have to wonder after last season's injuries, how much more does QB Jumbo Clements have in the tank?

              Alternative Picks: QB Robert MacGettigan

5: Brooklyn CB Randall Inoue, Memphis

Years of struggle have left the Hitmen littered with former top 5 draft choices, and yet somehow this is still a team with needs all over the field. This year's addition might be able to do something to help a pitiful pass defense.

              Alternative Pick: OLB Dwight Marsh

6: Port City DE Cornelius Patterson, Florida

If they hadn't picked a QB in the top 10 last year, I'd say MavGettigan here, instead I have them looking to address their defense. This year's crop of defensive ends isn't as strong as those we've seen in recent drafts, but Patterson has to be an improvement over last year's starter, Graham Hardin.

              Alternative Pick: WR Seth Shapiro

7: Punxsutawney QB Robert MacGettigan, California

The Phils fell from 13-3 in 2013 to 4-11-1 last year. A big part of that change was the return to form of QB Warren Poland, and I certainly don't mean that in a good way. I might not be sold on MacGettigan as an elite QB, but I can't believe there's any doubt any more about Poland.

              Alternative Pick: WR Seth Shapiro

8: Boston WR Seth Shapiro, Penn State

Boston needs another weapon on offense to keep their opponents from focusing on Trevor Canada. This means either Shapiro or Florida State's Kerry Buckley. Although Boston could improve almost any position on their defense by picking any one of a handful of players here.

              Alternative Pick: WR Kerry Buckley

9: Morgantown ILB Mike Erickson, Georgia

There are quite a few directions the Maniacs could go with this pick, which is a polite way of saying Morgantown isn't a very good team. Unfortunately for the Maniacs they weren't quite bad enough to earn a higher draft choice. Erickson will fill the space between fellow first round picks Jon Seagers and Kendick Burmester. If nothing else, the Maniacs will be able to claim the best set of Linebackers in the game.

              Alternative Pick: WR Kerry Buckley

10: Yuma FS Monty Meier, Oregon State

Yuma sent their entire passing game packing last season and your first instinct might be to have them address that here. But the Aces also have a pressing need on the defensive side of the ball in the form a a very depleted secondary. Meier is a superb athlete, Yuma picks him here and moves him out to corner.

              Alternative Pick: WR Kerry Buckley

                          Time for the middle twelve.

11: Saint Paul DE Timothy Fletcher, Boise State

Fletcher was picked 12th overall in last year's draft, but never signed with Denver. Taking a year off from football pays off here as Saint Paul continues their youth movement on defense.

                          Alternative Pick: WR Kerry Buckley

12: Kalispel Dwight Marsh, Southwest Minnesota State

The Stags would have loved for Fletcher to fall one more spot here, but have to settle for NSIC phenom Dwight Marsh. Marsh might be better suited to play WLB in a 3-4 defense, but he should have the size to make the move to SLB in a 4-3.

                          Alternative Pick: RB Leo Felts

13: Charlotte QB Kevin Murphy, Humbolt State

They have the leagues best set of cornerbacks, very good offensive tackles and a above average pair wide receivers, but if the Cougars want to compete in the NC South they need an upgrade at quarterback.

                          Alternative Pick: WR Kerry Buckley

14: Denver WR Kerry Buckley, Florida State

Denver can't believe that Buckley fell out of the top ten and into their laps here (Heck, I can't believe it, And I wrote it). They may have other needs, particularly on defense, but they have to take Buckley here.

                          Alternative Pick: WR Kerry Buckley

15: Motor City WR Floyd Stephenson, Arkansas State

Now that Buckley's off the board, it's time for a run on receivers. Stephenson gets the nod here over Poole or Chambliss by virtue of being a threat in the return game as well.

                          Alternative Pick: CB Carl Schmidt

16: Dakota WR Junior Chambliss, Ohio

The fastest man in the draft with a 4.33 forty yard dash lining up across from Jerry Frye, Roy Parish has gotta love that.

                          Alternative Pick: WR Fernando Poole

17: Utah OT Lawrence Green, Washington

The Bees give us a brief break here from wide receiver madness as that may be the only position they don't need. If Utah doesn't go for a Vinny Holmes replacement here, they might instead look for someone to fill in for the also departed Bruce Foy.

                          Alternative Pick: QB Courtney Brand

18: Yuma QB Courtney Brand, North Carolina State

Burt Virola might not be the guy to fill Jumbo Clements' shoes, Brand is the top QB still on the board at this point.

                          Alternative Pick: Fernando Poole

19: Portland WR Fernando Poole, Utah

Another target for Eddie Castillo, or a replacement for John Chart? When in doubt, go for the guy who will help your passing game the most.

                          Alternative Pick: RB Leo Felts

20: San Francisco OLB Bernard Money, Sacred Heart

Undersized but very quick, Money should be able to do better as an edge rusher than last year's starting WLB Norbert Pritchett and his 2.5 sacks.

                          Alternative Pick: DT Brenden Murray

21: Anchorage DT Brenden Murray, Fresno State

Defensive might be this draft's strongest position, after maybe only offensive guard (but who the hell drafts guards in the first round?)

                          Alternative Pick: OT Rusty Fitzgerald

22: Columbus RB Leo Felts, Arizona

This isn't a great draft for running backs. Luckily Columbus doesn't need a great running back, just a better one than Dwight Dawson.

                          Alternative Pick: OT Rusty Fitzgerald
