  • State of the League Update

We've lost a number of owners this season (6) and currently have four teams open (Chicago, Phoenix, Baltimore and Utah). I've had some trouble filling the last 4 spots. One potential owner fell through, one owner is having trouble installing the league and one owner seemed very interested but hasnt responded to me in days. I have no problem entering the offseason with 1 or 2 ownerless teams but 4 is too many in my opinon. It restricts trade and FA movement. The good news is that we have 2 weeks plus before we enter the offseason so there is plenty of time to find new owners.

If any of you know of anyone who is interested or may be interested, please encourage them to join the league.

If we need to take a break for a bit to fill the void with legit owners, I'm fine with it.

Wish some of the guys in the BLB or the college football league would step up and get involved!
      Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
      Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041

        A break until late August!

I think over time it's bound to happen until a new version of this game comes out...people slowly fade away. Also from looking at the FOFC forums there are a ton of leagues out there right now so competition is tough.

Over time I'm sure other leagues will fail and we will reap the rewards! What's the difference now though between someone in 4 other leagues we will never hear from and HAL.

I wouldn't complain. I'm on vacation for 2 weeks in August and really don't want to miss my first off-season back.

I think it's a simpler issue than burnout... it's a 32 team league! That's a lot of owners to maintain. BLB always had people queued to play... but we're a 24 team league. Even down 4 teams in the OSFL, it's damn impressive that we have 28 committed.

            It'll work out.

I agree with Clay. When the new madden drops and people realize it is almost exactly like it always is in regards to the "sim" and franchise play, a well posted "ad" at OS should get us a few new guys.

              Clay: "what's OS?"
OSFL: Lake County Extreme 2008-2028, 2010 Champions
              BLB: Morgantown MoHawks
              BBA: Star City Shooters

I actually think 4 ownerless teams is ok to go through the offseason. Especially ones with good UFA's.

                  OSFL - Port City Steam
                  Shiba - Providence Pioneers

Guys, I'll be happy to resign another year with Chicago since you're having trouble getting owners. This is a great league and I don't wanna leave if we can't get a replacement.

Don't thank me, I was stepping down for the fans. Now my life is in jeopardy again.

Don't lie... you're coming back because you can build your team in NCAA 10.
