Regarding #2, dont get me wrong. I dont plan to remove owners if they miss a month or only post once a month. But what i've found is the majority of owners who dont post...arent submitting sims either. We had an owner who signed several players, played an entire season and drafted players and only posted once that entire time.

There is no excuse imo for someone to have no opinion on his team or the league for 2-3 months if they are an active owner. Part of the enjoyment of this game should be interacting with other owners. It is for me. I just dont get why its difficult to write two sentences about your team each month.

In this league, I walked into a bottom quartile roster and I'd rather spend my limited time scheming to take over the division. One of my biggest rivals in another league rarely posts but is a dedicated owner who seems to enjoy the game quite a bit. In fact, when he does post it's akin to seeing bigfoot...a sighting. Digressing a bit, I use sightings as good reasons to celebrate and pour myself a nice, tall cocktail.
I triple dog dare you to get drunk and post about THAT.

If Rule # 2 is intended to increase socializing - A rule that requires quantifiable amounts of socializing just doesn't seem very social to me ?

But if Rule #2 is mostly intended to help weed out inactive owners, what do we think about the rule that every time you upload a stage file, you have to write a short message (i.e. "posted", or "stage posted") in the stage thread ?

This would allow the commish and everyone else to easily see when the last time was that an owner either posted a stage file, or interacted on the message forms ? And then if the forum said that an owner's last posting was a month ago, we could start questioning this and weeding out the inactive owner ?

I'm in the camp that I enjoy the game and the people in it, and the more competitive the better, but I don't necessarily see the link between more socializing => more competition ? I'd probably agree that more competition causes more interaction, but it doesn't flow in the reverse ?

Also, for rule # 1, I agree that the limit on the auto pick should equal the limit of the drafting period, and not less....

I'd vote for shortening the allotted times, but no major problem if they stay how they are currently.

And never posting is social? Ive been the commish for this league for 4 seasons and this is the only thing that absolutely dumbfounds me about the OSFL. Ive heard about leagues that require articles from their owners. All I'm asking for is a comment about your team every month. Is that really a burden? If you are an active owner and submitting a file..how hard is it to stop in the forum and make a comment about a game or your team

The link is that it appears that the players who post regularly are more likely to be long time members of the league and more involved in the league. I'm not trying to be antagaonistic, I just cant figure out why it seems I get so much push back about this rule.
