2.3. RT Eugene "Jet" Li, Colorado
6'3" 302 lbs.
A Right Tackle with the nickname Jet? Hey, for an offensive lineman, this guy can motor. But, Very good combine numbers in intel and strength added with good bars in run blocking and endurance made this Buffalo the perfect choice for a run oriented team.
High volatility coupled with high solecismic scores and intel should make
for a quick study.
Will start from day one. ..simply because he's the only rt on the roster
once he's signed.Last edited by Hoosier; 01-11-2009, 05:17 PM.

5.3. DE Greg Hughes, Miss State.
6'2" 262 lbs.
very low volatility.
Hughes had a predraft combine ranking of 131, which puts him right about where
he should be drafted in the fifth round. I like his versatility. . .experience
at all defensive line positions and at linebacker gives us a chance to
explore possibilities with Hughes. His height and weight gives me reason to
believe that we could move him to SLB without much of a hit.
Doesn't have outstanding bars, but has consistent bars in all areas and will
definitely need time to unmask.

Undrafted Rookie Free Agent Signings: Or, if you've got the money, spend it.
RB Seth Flannery, Kansas
5'10" 213 lbs
average volatility
Outstanding hole recognition and elusiveness coupled with the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield made this undrafted rookie a must have as the #2 option in a run oriented offense. While he's about average on speed, the kid specializes in third down catching and punt returns, something we needed.
TE Mel Burton, Virginia Tech
6'4" 251 lbs.
low volatility
Great bars in run blocking and pass blocking would readily identify Mel as an extension of the offensive line, but he has pass catching abilities. He needs work on his hands, but the other intangibles are there. Can contribute readily to special teams play, which is a priority for a young team.
WR Bert Christopher, Ohio State
5'11" 188 lbs.
Very high volatility
Another outstanding punt returner, the unheralded Christopher has good intangibles. We desperately needed wr's and he'll make the team.
SLB Bert Stokely, Notre Dame
6'3" 261 lbs.
Average volatility
Invited to provide depth at the slb position, looks like he could contribute in pass coverage.
CB Clay Benson, Florida
5'11" 185 lbs.
very high volatility
Invited to flesh out the defensive backs and add to special teams play.

OG Glen "White" Bishop, Oregon State
6-3, 313 lbs.
average volatility.
Excellent run and pass blocking skills, but strength and endurance will limit Bishop to backup duties. A good spot reliever and hopefully a long term backup.
OG Graham "Cracker" Fournier, Southern Miss
5-11 303 lbs
High
Great run blocking skills and good blocking strength offset pass blocking and endurance deficiencies. Again, invited to be a long term backup guard.
WR Floyd "The Barber" Middleton, Florida State
5-11, 189 lbs.
very low volatility
Outstanding route running, third down catching, ability to adjust to the ball, endurance and special teams play caught our eye. That, and we still were desperately needing wide receivers.
DB Mario "Bo" Donaldson, Harvard.
5-10, 194 lbs.
High volatility.
Great bars everywhere but interceptions and punt returns made signing this guy a priority. That and a high Solecismic test (Ivy Leaguer doncha know) were too much to resist.

In no particular order, pre and post camp ratings for rookies only. .
I mean, there were some second year and third year players who made nice gains, but damn, I'd be posting the whole team. .
