Wow talking about AI teams... Salt Lake City destroyed us and they are 7-0, my Lord... Ciszcek is having a very bad season and I can't see the reason. Well at least Port City lost too and we are only half game behind Portland for the #2 Seed...
Matt your ex-Phantoms are not doing bad at all...

We have a suffocating defense. We literally gave up two big plays for TDs and that was essentially it. Those two plays were practically 50% of the opponents offense. I can't imagine how much better we will be if we had not lost our best LB to a serious injury. However, we made up for it by not scoring TDs on the other end, Twice we were inside the 10 and twice we kicked FGs. On another occasions we were in FG range only to commit a costly turnover. I hoped that a shake up of coaches would reverse our fortunes from last year, but the same theme is playing out. We just need to get better on offense.

Coaches take time to "adjust" to the team. The longer they are in the same team, the better they perform... At least that's the "say" between veteran owners.

Basically, I was saying that I need to be more patient by lowering my expectations.
I inherited a very poor team with an enormous room under the salary cap. And it was for good reason, There wasn't a lot of talent on the squad outside an OL and DL with one really overpaid QB. I just need a little more on offense to take me from 6-17 points to 17-27 points. The difference between this year and last year is we killed ourselves by committing penalties. I improve the HC to help with discipline. Now we are not committing the penalties as much as we are not converting. Improvements have been made; just not enough to show up on the score board.

Ben did a study to show that the dumber the players you have, the more penalties you will have against you... Just my 2 cents :)
