You are right. Trade processed, new file up. Thankfully no one exported yet.

Is it ok to go over 70 players for a sim if you release them the next sim to get under 70? For example, if I am at 69 players, and two sign in LFA to put me at 71, is that ok as long as I release a player the next sim?

Shark can correct me if I am wrong but I think in the past you just need to cut to 70 by start of training camp.

Rob is right, as long as you are down to 70 for the TC stage you are good. The penalty for exceeding the 70 player number is a 3rd rpund pick.

We have a gentlemen's agreement here to not exceed intentionally the 70 player number during the LFA as possible. But is not set in stone.

Just to add to this....The exhibition roster limit is 60. Since you have to trim down to 60 before the Ex2 ratings change, I don't see much sense in carrying more than 60 guys into training camp.

Well, in fairness it gives you 10 more slots to observe drops and raises in future ratings of players. Specially in 2nd / 3rd year players.

Yes. But the ratings movement isn't near as significant as during the Ex2 stage.

I rarely ever have the income to carry much more than 60 players. Then again, I thus far inherited teams where a few guys occupy about 50% or more of the salary cap.

You can easily fit in young players or veterans with minimum salary, under the cap as long as their cap values are the same or lower than the one your 51st player is counting against it.
