I say again that it just isn't a huge deal. Take FB, P, and K out of the mix, and there are only 32 starting-quality players in this draft that can be identified by popularity--exactly one round's worth. And all of them should NOT go in Round 1.

So does one value a 5.2 Adj Rating with high pop. as more of a 5.7 ? Obviously differential would vary but just looking for some hints...

        Personal choice.

Hell, just look at Vernon Abrams on my team this year. Guy was an average to below average player for his entire career till he came to Pearl Harbor. Only a 50/50. But I played a 3-4 and put him at WLB where his pass rush technique and pass rush strength were the only thing that mattered.

Guy goes from 2 career sacks to 16 sacks in one season and wins defensive player of the year. It's not always about overall ratings... sometimes situational ones matter just as much.

Agreed. Look at Tyrus "Blindside" Walters for Anchorage. He's rated 51 by my scouts and then look at his stats from when he was in NLB. He was an All-Pro in 2006 but that was because the owner before me used a 3-4. I use a 4-3 scheme and you see his performance dropping steadily. However, in Anchorage he's revitalized after being moved to MLB.
In another league I'm in, I have a starting left tackle that has given up like 9 sacks in 1100 pass plays that's rated 44 overall. However, I don't run the ball much in that offense so he fits well. Like Linty said, its as much about situations as it is ratings.

We don't have any restrictions on renegotiations here, right?

No restrictions as long as the game allows.

Heh. I'm hoping I avoid a Fall River situation with Pearl Harbor... can't be letting that team Signing Bonus get so huge again.

I think I offered 40 players restructured contracts this offseason.
