All around terrible offense in a 24-10 loss to Yuma. Rookie CB Ray Truchsess, who has been playing great for us, goes down for 5 weeks. Sorry to julio who loses DT Donovan Kovel for 20 weeks after tearing his ACL. Kovel was dominating us before the injury.

Sucks to lose Kovel after he finally started showing some real ability this past week.. Thankfully it is a fairly minor injury considering I was expecting one of those 40 plus week injuries.. Maybe he can bounce back next year.. He has had some bad luck and a rough start after we traded up for him two years ago.

We went back to basics offensively this week and were able to run the ball really well.. Boshier is really starting to become a force and its good to know we can put the ball in his hands or throw it with Clements and move the ball either way. Defensively we had been playing very inconsistently up to this week, but hopefully we've made the right tweaks and can somehow get some steadiness out of the team as we move toward the playoffs.

GG jwolf. My apologies for the sneaky strategy of hurting your young DB.. The receivers had been planning something all week and I couldn't ever figure out what it was.. Then Minkel comes up to me in the locker room and says something about ordering take-out. He's kind of a dick.

Well really, I'm going to shake the pessimistic attitude and grab the half-full glass. We are 3-4 which is disappointing but I'm going to retool our redzone offense for the 2nd half of the season and make a run Chicago and Dakota.
