  • 2010 AC Season Predictions Part 1

Usually I write a Season Preview but this year I dont have enough time and since I never get around to finishing the preview, I'll just make my predictions in a few small posts:

    AC North

    1. Portland
    2. Kalispel
    3. Washington
    4. Anchorage

I was wrong about Portland last year and underestimated the effect Sammy Slade coming back would have on this team. The Phantoms are a good team but my first place prediction is based on their weak division. Kalispel did not make enough moves this offseason to get them to 10 wins (CB Ramsey was a good pick up). Anchorage is rebuilding and QB Jay Nori is too young to lead this team to a division title. Washington is still recovering from WR Wally Lum's crack addiction.

    AC South

    1. Memphis
    2. New Orleans (WC)
    3. Waco
    4. Port City

Memphis will be at the top of the division and conference as long as they have Cowell and Heflin leading their offense. New Orleans is putting the pieces together for a division title run but Memphis has too much talent for them to pass this year. QB issues will keep Waco at the bottom of the division even though MLB Harris Muncy will help their defense. I expect Port City to remain near the bottom because of the many changes to the team. More than half of this team joined this year.

      LMAO, a Wally Lum reference.

For every touchdown Wally Lum catches, we're giving him a kilo of blow.

Predictions seem fair.. Port City has a new owner, manager, coach and half a roster :) yes we are in a rebuilding process and it should be fun to see what the team can do together. Pre-season we mixed it up a bit and threw a little more then we wanted trying to work out a new offensive system. We feel we like alot of our new additions especially on the defensive side. It will be interesting to see how this season progress's.

I guess I better learn what my players can do real fast. First year and low expectations are good to have.

Anchorage last? I think this division will be really competitive again. Winner will probably have 9 wins, second with 8, third with 7, and Washington with 6.

            My prediction:

            1. Anchorage
            2. Portland
            3. Kalispel
            4. Washington
            Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
            Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041
            Washington Bats - 1979-2013

Couldn't agree more. But my low expectations are pretty much a recurring theme.

Great stuff. Wally Lum...what a storyline. Maybe he had a Rae Carruth type incident and his skills fell off the map.

I'm keeping him on my roster just for fun. I figure if I'm not going to contend for the division, I might as well make other owners feel like shit when Wally Lum scores a touchdown on them.

But I was being sarcastic, I am Memphis.

With ratings as low as Lum has... what makes you think he'll even be able to run patterns anymore... let alone stay up on his own two feet?

He either had a reception or a touchdown in a preseason game, I can't remember.

I might change his position, so his ratings will change to 0/0.
