  • Sully is stepping down

Sully sent me a pm letting me know that he is stepping down as the GM of the Memphis Admirals. I hate to lose an original owner and someone who has been a active member of this league. Sully will manage the team until we find a replacement. Sully, you are welcome to come back anytime you want.

I will update the posts at FOF central and at OS looking for a new owner.

As I told Aaron, I just don't have the free time that I once had. I've taken on some extra responsibilities at work, and play softball a couple nights a week. There are some nights when I don't walk in my door until 11pm. Even on the days when things are light, I'm trying to spend as much time with the wife and kids as possible. I was one of those guys that rarely missed exporting, but found myself missing a lot lately. I'd rather drop now, than run the team into the ground and leaving it in the hands of a guy new to the game. I think I left the team in decent shape. At least, I hope I did.

I thanked Aaron privately, but would also like to do it publicly. He's an awesome commish. Thanks to Skerik, too, for getting this thing off the ground. SkyDog, EaglesFan, Linty, Andrew, Clay, elprez, etc. The list goes on and on. A great league stretches far beyond what is done in-game. You guys kept the boards active, and are always there to help other owners out.

I remember when a lot of us wondered if this league would get through a second season. Now, it's safe to say it's going to be around for a long time.

Dang man... sad to see you go. Now you better not drop the BLB... SGN just wouldn't be the same without you.

Sorry to see you go, but I understand how important it is to balance family time with everything else. Good luck with everything.

You left out the part about spending 8 hours a day playing MMORPG's.

I totally understand... softball should be your priority... I mean... family.

Just make sure you stick around, Sully. This place wouldn't be the same without you around.

lol, I can't even do that anymore! In fact, I just posted at OS that I'll be canceling my AoC account after the free month is up. Don't even ask about the 360. It's been over a month. The boys put it to use though.

Thanks, Clay. I plan on sticking around. My forum posting has decreased dramatically at the certain sites I visit. Still, SGN gets more attention than any of those other sites. I'll be following the Admirals closely. I hope the new owner comes in and wins the title that I couldn't. That'll convince me that I really didn't know what I was doing.

Damn, Sully. Even with "neglecting" your team, they're still by far in the top class of the league. Looking forward to competing with you in the BLB still.... get back to the OSFL when you can.
