What a game Port City had against the Washington Bombers. Port City down real quick 14-0 in the first qtr. Wes Bornstein finishes the game 21 carries for 171 yards and 3TD. Roy Kitchen had a great game with 21-29 245 1td and 0 int and Port City wins the game 31-21. Port City wins 7 of last 8 under the new GM. After starting the season 0-4, we have put ourselves in a good spot for the playoffs.. Some tough games ahead that will bring us some challenges, but our team is focused.....

Memphis smacks Utah in the mouth, 37-17. It feels good to finally get a win against Utah after they beat us two years in a row in the Conference Championship, but we look forward to possibly meeting them again in the playoffs.

Big game with Yuma next week. QB Dusty Cowell is questionable with a knee sprain. That's not good news for the Admirals.

We will go as far as our QB takes us and it doesnt look like Reese is going to take us far. Reese was outperformed by Pearl Harbor's QB and threw three picks. This is starting to remind me of 2007 where we were 9-3 and went on to lose our last 4 games. For some reason, this team cant win 10 games.

I just don't understand this game! We beat Gainesville and Yuma pretty easily yet can't seem to beat anyone else.

Fleeger also went over 80% completions against both of you... so weird.

GG Aholbert. You'll be fine, this was only your third loss... Wish we could say the same.

We find new ways to blow leads

-4-KAL46 (4Q: 07:24) Jared Sampson punted and it was blocked by Heath Walters. PXT Brad Cusano recovered the ball at the KAL26 and returned the ball 14 yards.

sigh. Well we can still win our last 4 and hope for a wild card spot.

Another nice game for the Grizzlies in Motor City. The offense got on track a little bit and our defense continues its solid play. We're sitting pretty to make the playoffs now.

We also managed to get ourselves into a 1st and 40 this game. We didn't convert.

We were able to put ourselves on top early against Columbus this week and cruise from there to set up a great matchup against the Admirals.. We haven't played them since the inception of the league, so it looks like our first meeting will be a huge one. We're going on the road, too.. which makes it even more interesting for us. Our losses this year have both come on the road.

Get ready for a brawl, Memphis...

Dakota and Brooklyn combine for a whopping 533 total yards as the Totems win it 16-6. Dakotas lone TD is a play of the week nominee -

Dakota: Strong formation with three wideouts, strength is right. The defense is in a 43 with nickel personnel and 3-deep zone coverage, keying aggressively on the pass. Ross and Womer are blitzing.
3-9-DAK35 (1Q: 00:47) Roy Parrish pass completed to WR Herb Wyant for 9 yards. Tackled by CB Dixon Bobro. The ball was fumbled and recovered by DAK Herb Wyant for 56 yards and a TOUCHDOWN!

A tale of 2 halves in Ohio Valley.
We, literally shut them down in the 1st half. They zero (0) 1st downs in the 1st half and I took a 17-0.
2nd half was completely different as I cant move the ball abd they wake up. We lose in OT , 23-17.

WOW. Now that is dynamic game play. Tough to lose like that but makes for an interesting game does it not.

Motor City/Denver looked like it was going to be a barnburner early... then we completely lost our momentum. I think we went for -1 yards on like 6 consecutive first down plays. Awesome play calling!!!

Sadly, we still have an outside shot at the playoffs. We have a pretty favorable schedule the rest of the way.

We hung tough against North Liberty but we're just not that good... yet. I think we're about two years away. QB Marlon Madison is starting to come around and I think can be a guy we get behind. His numbers were pedestrian today but he didn't make any mistakes and got us 20 yards away from a 98 yard drive to tie the game before getting sacked on third and fourth down thanks to my wonder squad on the line. DE Joe Mallow, my first round pick from this year, is going to be a beast. 2 sacks this game and he is steadily improving ratings wise.

The NLB-CHA connection of players all had parts in this game. Siegrist and Reader each had a TD for their teams, and LT James Grant looked bad early giving up a couple sacks and a lot of pressures. DE Paul Reid was mostly silent for Charlotte; I know elprez was worried about him being fired up. I started thinking about the Siegrist trade again during this game (it wasn't hard, he went off for 8 catches for 131 and a TD) and I gotta say it's worked out both ways. Honestly D at first I thought you were crazy for giving up that much, but your offense has really opened up now, and if/when Johnny May improves, you've got a Colts type deal where everyone is young and going to be together for 5 or 6 years. At the same time, I think not only does Siegrist get his, but he really opens up the field for Forbes and Terwey on the other side, who also had solid games against us. Anyways, you never want to give up early picks, but with an offense like that for the next few years, you won't miss them quite as much.

For us, we weren't going to do anything this year so, of course, are very happy to have the package of picks. A surprise bonus has been the play of WR Maurice Reader, though. He was pretty quiet this week but now has 62 catches on the year for 748 and 6 TDs. I'm really looking forward to watching this team grow.
