  • Week 13 Rando Rankings

Another busy week here, so only short write ups. Sorry. There was also another minor change in the scoring system, and adjustment to the Momentum score. I'll explain it later, if anyone still cares.

    Week 13

    1. Memphis (10-1)

Score: 1.104 Last Week: 1 In Game: 4

The Admirals drubbed San Francisco 42-10 in preparation for their back to back showdowns with #3 Utah and #2 Yuma.

    2. Yuma (9-2)

Score: 1.082 Last Week: 2 In Game: 2

The Aces matched Memphis' intimidation tactics with their own blow out win, 37-0 over Waco. Only the Columbus Catfish and a potential Utah victory stand in between Yuma and a shot at #1.

    3. Utah (10-1)

Score: 0.960 Last Week: 3 In Game: 3

For the past two weeks the defending champs have been stuck here behind a Yuma team that lost it's season opener to Pearl Harbor. Now the Bees have a chance to not just leap over Yuma, but knock Memphis out of the top spot as well.

    4. Gainesville (9-2)

Score: 0.878 Last Week: 4 In Game: 13

The Gaels needed a fourth quarter comeback over 4-7 Lake County to hold onto this spot, not exactly the kind of win that would dispel any "paper tiger" labels.

    5. Denver (8-3)

Score: 0.871 Last Week: 5 In Game: 7

Denver became the 3 team to blank the Brooklyn Hitmen last week, winning 12-0. Barring some sort of late season collapse, the Grizzlies should be heading to the playoffs as a wildcard for the second consecutive year.

    6. New Orleans (7-4)

Score: 0.848 Last Week: 7 In Game: 11

New Orleans holds onto the second wildcard spot in the AC with their six point win over Las Vegas last week. The Stingrays have the inside track to that last playoff spot but their upcoming game against Portland has all sorts of playoff implications.

    7. North Liberty (8-3)

Score: 0.786 Last Week: 9 In Game: 6

The NC North leading Enforcer's score stays deflated this week, aftershocks of their loss against Chicago two weeks ago.

    8. Morgantown (9-2)

Score: 0.783 Last Week: 6 In Game: 1

The Maniacs blank the Phils 13-0 and drop one spot in the rankings. No one ever said life was fair.

    9. Port City (6-5)

Score: 0.666 Last Week: 15 In Game: 19

A surprise here at #9, but the Steam have lost only one of their last seven games, and that was against #1 Memphis.

    10. San Francisco (6-5)

Score: (0.649) Last Week: 8 In Game: 8

The Bayhawk's nasty OWP keeps them in the top ten another week, even after another loss, but another loss next week against Boston could put them out of the NC wildcard chase and out of the Top 10 for good.

    And the rest.

    11. Las Vegas (+0)
    12. Columbus (+0)
    13. Anchorage (+4)
    14. Los Alamos (+6)
    15. Portland (-5)
    16. Boston (+0)
    17. St. Paul (-4)
    18. Chicago (+3)
    19. Motor City (-5)
    20. Kalispel (+5)
    21. Washington (-3)
    22. Punxsutawney (+1)
    23. Lake County (-1)
    24. Phoenix (+3)
    25. Camden (-1)
    26. Dakota (-7)
    27. Brooklyn (-1)
    28. Pearl Harbor (+0)
    29. Ohio Valley (-3)
    30. Waco (-1)
    31. S. Maryland (+0)
    32. Charlotte (-2)
