  • Question

I should ask aholbert more questions, so that is my fault. I have one question at this time. Will this league continue on throughout the summer or will it pause for baseball? I watch baseball but my love of sports is football, so I am hoping this continues on throughout the summer. Another question, not expecting much to answer, but how much time do you plan making your gameplans? Any tips that you can provide a newb to an online league would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys in advance for your answers.

365 days a year. If we do break, which I don't remember Aaron ever taking a break, it'd be a brief one....maybe a week or two.

As for gameplanning, I'd recommend "recommend" to newbs. I used it for at least the first season, until I got comfortable enough with my team to start tweaking it myself. It'll come to you. Scout your opponent, find their weaknesses, and do your best to exploit them.

Thanks Sully... I was assuming it would go throughout the year... I do a couple of things on game plans but for the most part I just do "recommend" on game plans. I do not want to do that, I really want to be able to diagnose things... I am old in my age, 40+ years sometimes my thinking is not real legit, if you know what I mean. I do not want to be laughing stock of league, I want to be competitive.. I get overwhelmed sometimes when I look at all the adjustments that you can do...

Another thing I would suggest is watching your games in Solevision. Solevision gives you a great perspective on what your team is doing right and wrong during the season.

Also try to play some single player. You can at least get an idea of how gameplanning effects the product on the field.

              Illini,

I would suggest going on over to: http://fof.sportplanet.gamespy.com/forums/.

Its the best place to learn some of the secrets that the FoF vets know. Also, like Clay said, single-player is probably the single most effective way to understand how the game works, in my opinion. If you look, North Liberty has one of the worst overall records in the league. We are 5-1 so far this year(knock on wood!) and most of our success can be attributed to the info found on that website and just trying different things in single player. Good luck, and by the way..I love the screenname since that's how I feel about my NCFA team.

Thanks all for the tips. I appreciate it, hopefully all the hard work today paid off creating my gameplan... I just want to continue my win streak since I took over the team....

Just do what I do..inherent a solid team, load up on Studs in FA, and set up settings blindly for the game plan and you too can soon become the next team to start 7-0..
