  • 2009 Week 5: Who Really Cares?

Since I got a decent response from the league with this segment I've decided to keep this one going. I am also going to try to keep the instances pertinent to the current week, if possible. Here we go with our weekly dose of Who Really Cares?(Stats no one cares about).

    1. Columbus' quarterback, Corey Lincoln has set the record for most "Player of the Week" Award wins with 9.

    2. Another Columbus milestone: Reciever Jimmy Mathis tied the league's single game record with 13 catches in his team's 38-10 win over Boston.

    3. Ohio Valley has lost 14 straight games dating back to Week 8 of 2008. Pray they do not go a full year without a win.

    4. (3-1) Memphis and (3-1) Punxsutawney are the only teams with a winning record but losing the turnover battle(-2, and -5, respectively).

    Thanks for reading.

I plan on it. Honestly, I'm hoping other owners will contribute a little article if only about their own teams....hint, hint...

PUNX Phils ---- QB Francis leads the league in fumbles with 6 ---- he has 18 over his last 13 games ................

Kurt Warner has nothing on my QB!

I'd also like to add that the 14 game losing streak was preceded immediately by a 5 game winning streak.

Does that make it hurt less?
